I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC - FX500 and when I take pictures they look as if there is a fingerprint over the picture. I have cleaned the lens so it definately is not a fingerprint. any ideas what it could be?

I have had the same camera for quite some time and have seen similar issues. I do not take care of the camera all that well and it spends much of the day in my pocket as I find myself quite frequently needing a shot of something. Based on my research and own experience dust on the lens is quite common. If you're fond of the camera but unable to take the camera part yourself local camera shop may be able to clean it for nominal fee. I would not pay more than a bench fee of $20-$40. If you're adventurous the camera can be taken apart with a few simple steps as long as you're careful and familiar with how to remove ribbon cables in tight areas and have a clean workspace.

All of the sudden I'm getting blurry pictures? What could be the reasons?

Possible reasons: 1) you are moving the camera when taking pictures, 2) make sure the lens is wiped clean of fingerprints, etc., 3) if taking pictures through glass (i.e. car windshield), make sure the glass is clean and 4) if taking pictures from a vibrating object (i.e. a running car), turn off the car to eliminate the vibration. The curvature of a vehicle's windshield COULD also distort your photos.

How to clean a panasonic lumix dmc ts1 lens. i get spots when i take pictures

If the spots appear on flash pics only and are in different places on each photo, then the spots are not on your lens. Those are dust particles reflecting the light from your flash. It's a common problem with point-and-shoot cameras.

When in a record mode LCD says to "Please Turn Camera Off and then On Again". The lens retracts and then extends again but this message reappears whenever the camera is turned off and then on again. Can...

You are experiencing a media miscommunication. This due to low or incorrect amount of voltage to the cameras coding circuits.Take a Q-Tip "dampened" with rubbing alcohol and clean inside the battery compartment well. Do the battery contacts and the charger the same way. You should be all set after this. Dana

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 spots on pictures

Upgrade to the TZ3 or TZ5. TZ3 is smaller and has a great wide angle lens. You can get a very good buy on Ebay for a used or new TZ3 because it has been replaced with the latest TZ5.

You can likely get about $40 dollars for yous, if it has all the stuff it shipped with, even with the problem you mention, since repairmen buy time to fix and resell on ebay.
