If you need to reset the Admin Password, you will have to call Dell. No Jumpers, no user accessible reset.

Reset bios password dell latitude d520

Each manufacturer uses a backdoor password for this exact reason. for Dell - it is Dell. It may work, but if not try to remove the CMOS battery for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Turn the computer upside-down and to help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery before working inside the computer.

Remove the main battery: Slide the battery-bay latch release on the bottom of the computer and then remove the battery from the battery bay.

Remove the CMOS battery- loosen the captive screw on the RAM cover, and then remove the cover. Use a plastic scribe to slide into the guide on the side of the coin-cell battery compartment, and lift the battery out.
When you replace the battery, insert it at a 30-degree angle under the clip with the positive (identified by a plus [+] symbol) side up, and then push it into place.

You BIOS password should now be reset.

Dell latitude e6500 cmos password

RTM = Read the Manual
Get onlineand got to In the google search box type: "DellSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and search them for CMOS or BIOS Password.I searched the manual and saw nothing that would allow you to reset the Bios Password. I even search the net and removing the cmos battery for a couple of minutes did not reset it. You can try taking the laptop apart to get to the cmos battery and removing it for overnight. That might clear it.It seems like Dell is trying to stop theft of the laptop. So they keep on their server who the original owner is based on the Serial Numbers and Service Tag on the laptops. You can call them and if you can prove you are the original owner they will probably help you out for a fee of course.

My notebook needs administrators or system password

If the password is right when the computers starts, you'd need to remove the CMOS battery.
The CMOS battery is a battery that lets the computer store the time, bios settings, and the bios passwords. If you remove that battery, it will clear them all, and reset it back to defaults.

If the password you're referring to is the one for the windows, take a look at Ophcrack. They have a file you can burn to a CD, available here: , which will crack the password for Windows XP or Windows Vista computers.

Dell Latitude D620 BIOS password help!!! I bought a Dell D620 and I noticed that some BIOS features are password protected. The previous owner said he doesn't know anything about it, so I'm not sure what...

Dell usually sets a default password as password or admin Try those first. If no luck go into the bios setup by continually tapping the exc key while the computer boots. If your licky you may be able to set yourself as administrator and give yourself admin rights. With admin rights you can do anything.

How to remove password on most of Dell laptops

The only way is to reset the bios. This is very easy on desktops because you can get inside of them easily to either remove the CMOS battery, or flip the reset jumper.

You will have to remove the laptops casings, find the CMOS battery, Its about the size of a quarter. Remove it and let it sit for 10 minutes, then replace it and reassemble the laptop. There may be a jumper to reset it as well. it is usually JP1. this is a standard for CMOS reset jumpers.

Dell latitude d620 power on password can't remove

No need to short out any pins, shorting out pins allow you to reset the BIOS quickly. When you leave the BIOS/CMOS battery out overnight, this will reset the BIOS (you only need to leave the battery out for 1/2 + hour to do the same thing).

Remove the Thinkpad main battery. Look for a small yellow disk. This is the CMOS battery. It is connected to the motherboard with two (2) wires that plug into the motherboard. The plug is included on the wires of a new battery. Check EBay for Thinkpad CMOS batteries. I have also heard Radio Shack in some cases carries this battery.
