CPU: Central Processing Unit, or "brains" of the Computer.

Screen: The viewing area on a monitor or the information or image displayed.
Disk Drive: A device that reads data from (input) or records data onto a disk for storage (output).
Hard Drive: The main device that a computer uses to store information. Most computers come with a hard drive, called drive C, located inside the computer case.

Mouse: A hand-held input device you roll on your desk to point to and select items on your screen. When you move the mouse, the mouse pointer on the screen moves in the same direction.
Speakers: Output device that produces sound and music when connected to the computer. Speakers come in different shapes and may even be in the monitor's case.
Headphones: Output device for listening that is held over the ears by a band worn on the head.
Microphone: Input device in which sound energy is changed into electrical energy for the sending or recording sound (your voice).
Scanner: Input device that reads copy as an image and digitally records the image.

Computer repair includes software and hardware repair. Hardware repair is needed when any part of the computer is not functioning as expected. Software repair is required when any software program is not executing properly.

Need of computer repair

Computer repair is needed for making your computer function properly. Your computer will function properly if all its parts are working properly. Some of the issues for which you require computer repair are as follows:

• Computer automatically shuts down
• Computer takes much time in launching applications
• Computer system crashes or locks up
• Blue screen error
• Computer makes beeping sound when switched on

The reason for most of the computer issues is the lack of maintenance. For maintaining your computer and optimizing its performance, you have to update software regularly, clean registry, empty cache files and many others.

In case, you have the knowledge about how to repair your computer, you can perform it yourself. But if you do not have any knowledge in this field, then you can contact a computer support technician.

Computer repair technician is a person who will repair your computer either through online or on-site. Online computer repair is preferred in case your computer needs software repair. If you want to go for online computer repair, all you need to have is an Internet connection. Online computer repair saves your from the pain of taking your computer to some technical services center or inviting some technician at your own residence.

These days most of the companies offering online computer repair adopt the method of remote desktop connection. Technician will access your computer with the use of software made for remote desktop connection. But you have to give him permission for doing so. After getting permission, he will diagnose your problem and after that resolve it. Technician will install, reinstall or uninstall any software, or modify some of the settings for resolving issues.

In case of hardware repair, you have to call a technician in your premises. Technician will diagnose all of your peripheral devices, in case of any faulty one, he will replace that one. He will also update drivers of peripheral devices.

So, it can be said that computer repair is required when your computer is not functioning as expected.

What is the engine management system

It is the computerized electronic engine controls. Consists of the engine computer, it's several actuator controls and switches (computer"s output), and the dozen or so sensors (computer"s inputs), and the associated wiring. (It's a big can of worms!)
The computer manages and corrects engine functions (timing, fuel injector pulse duration, etc), and monitors the emissions systems for possible problems. It's all part of the new innovations that allow electronics to take over many previous mechanical functions-for better running cars that stay in tune better.
My main quibble with new cars is they went crazy with computer controls. New cars aree filled with computers and electronic controls...Just think when these cars are 10 years old and start having problems, breaking down. I pity the poor mechanics who have to deal with all that old wiring and electrical issues. The car maker's know this. Maybe it's part of their planned obsolescence scheme...

What is bios?

A BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is an electronic set of instructions that a computer uses to successfully start operating. The BIOS is located on a chip inside of the computer and is designed in a way that protects it from disk failure.
A main function of the BIOS is to give instructions for the power-on self test (POST). This self test ensures that the computer has all of the necessary parts and functionality needed to successfully start itself, such as use of memory, a keyboard and other parts. If errors are detected during the test, the BIOS instructs the computer to give a code that reveals the problem. Error codes are typically a series of beeps heard shortly after startup.
