I do know of other phone manufacturers that can forward the settings to your phone provided it is thier brand. In the case od sony ericsson i have not come across that so the best way out is to ask your service provider for the settings to be sent to you. You may also have to go there personally to have it configured for you.
good luck

How to activate & send mms in samsung s8000 mobile

you need to configure the mms settings from your internet menu... but you need the right configuration from your network provider to the settings..
to give you an idea, here's how you may do it.. from your phone, press menu select internet select browser profiles to lead you to internet profile settings.. from your settings, press create.  then create the mms profile your network preferred.  once created, press save and exit the settings for internet profiles..
to make the mms profiles be the default settings for your mms, do thes steps... from your phone, press menu select settings select phone applications select messages select multimedia from multimedia menu, select profiles assign the mms profiles you created for your multimedia. press save and exit the setup...
now to check if it's working, try sending a multimedia message to your own number to check if your phone can send and receive mms. once you successfully send it and received it, it means that your phone mms is already set and working...
take care..

Can't send pictures from my Motorola 377 to other people

You do need settings for MMS and the Internet...

As standard you have the settings already saved on the phone when you purchase it for the network you purchase it on, e.g T-Mobile when you have the phone unlocked you need the settings for the other networks you wish to use on the handset... In the UK T-Mobile and O2 have gotten quite good with this and they normally send you messages which you need to save for the settings for your handset every time you put your sim into another phone, however some networks like Orange dont send them automatically...

There are a number of ways to get the settings, from the network or from the phone manufacturer.

Companies like Nokia and Sony Ericsson, have online tools where you can select your phone and network, type in your phone number and they send you the settings, some networks also have something similar on their sites.

The easiest other option instead of searching is just to give your network a quick call and they will send you a couple of messages to your handset with the settings you need, remember to save them :) you will need the settings for both the internet and mms :)

When I send a picture from my phone, it says it's sent, but the person I send it to never receives the picture.

For picture messaging there are a couple of things you and the other person needs...

1, A MMS capable phone, e.g a phone able to send and receive picture messages.

2, The correct MMS settings, both you and your friend needs settings for picture messaging, just like you need settings for going onto the net.

3, On some networks, the service has to actually be turned on by the network. e.g some networks who are behind dont have the service turned on for everyone you have to actually call them and make sure picture messaging is enabled on your account.

My first thing to check would be number 2, make sure you and your friend have the correct settings for sending and receiving picture messages, if they dont have the settings on there phone, even if your phone does then they will not receive the picture.
There are a couple of ways to get the settings.
1, You can search for the correct settings on the net for your network and make and model of handset and then manually enter them (slow)
2, Most decent manufacturers have an option on their website e.g Nokia, Sony Ericsson, to select your phone model, type in your phone number and network and have the settings sent directly to you.
3, You can call the network and get them to send the correct settings to your handset.

Internet settings, picture messaging

You can download settings from here...

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/detailed/phonesetupwap/k610i?lc=en&cc=gb

just fill in required info from drop down boxes and S/E will send settings to your handset like a text message. It should prompt you to save/install, and then may ask to set as default? Select YES. Finished.
These settings will set up mobile internet which is used to download/upload the pictures, and MMS settings that enables your phone to handle the message for your network.
If you still have problems after doing this you may need to speak to your network provider as they may need to change some settings that you cannot see?
Hope that helps?
