The only thing I can think of that would have this effect is an Electolytic Capacitor in the Audio Output Stage. Maybe one of the ones that connect to the speaker. It may be leaking the voltage after power down.

Transfer Channel 2 speakers to Channel 1 to check if it does put out a sound. If it does, it means that your Channel 2 amplifier is defective. However, if it doesn't,
then your Channel 2 speaker is defective. So, have this checked to find out the result. Defective items needs replacement or be repaired. Send us your e-mail for the result so we can further extend our assistance.

Ok . i have a pair of crossfire subwoofers, @

Your amplifier is 4 channel... and only 2 ohm stereo capable.

You will get the most power putting 1 subwoofer wired in parallel on each BRIDGED channel.

This will give you a 2 ohm stereo load.

Both + on 1 subwoofer to + terminal on amplifier bridged channel 1
Both - on 1 subwoofer to - terminal on amplifier bridged channel 1

Both + on 1 subwoofer to + terminal on amplifier bridged channel 2
Both - on 1 subwoofer to - terminal on amplifier bridged channel 2

I cannot find the specs or user manual on the JVC archived items list. A few sites want to charge $10.00 for the user guide info, but I think that is too much to charge.

Make sure your speaker wiring does not come close to the 12v power cable running for your amplifier. If your amplifier's 12v power cable runs on the drivers side of the vehicle, run your speaker cables on the passengers side and make sure your tweeters have a high pass filter to stop any pickup of engine sound (When you are driving you *WILL* notice it at high RPM. a HPF (High Pass Filter) will also stop those nasty hissing sounds on S's.

try hooking up your subwoofers in series. then connecting them bridged to the amplifier. as follows: positive from sub#1 into positive of amplifier left channel.. negative sub#1 into positive sub#2. negative sub#2 into negative amplifier right channel. turn the gain down as this will sound pretty loud.

Rockford T10001bd: Capacitor buzzing

If the top is split open, it has vented electrolyte. This is most commonly caused by more serious problems in an amp. Do the other adjacent caps show any signs of damage?

Is it blowing fuses? Connect a 20 amp fuse in-line with the B+ line of the amp. If it blows the fuse, the amp is drawing excessive current and most likely has more serious damage than the single vented cap.

Amp

Make sure the amplifier is turning on. Remember ther is three wires that power the amp Battery constant, Ground which in a fiberglass boat run ground to battery not motor, Plus make sure the remote wire is hooked to power, generally it is switched power. But if the amp is not turning on temporarily hook remote and power together to battery and see if the amplifier turs on. Second be sure you have a good set of RCA cables hooking the radio to the amp. And finally check and make sure the gain is turned up on the amplifier.
