As chilibball mentioned, PS2 only support MP4 format files to be burned to DISC. So may be you need 3rd party software to convert the format. I prefer to use Aimersoft Video Converter for it supports all popular formats like AVI, WMV, MPEG, 3GP, M4V, etc. You can free download it for trial here:

Hope to help you.

It say not supported what to do

#1 - If its a video that has an unsupported file format for the PSP, It will never play until you convert it to a supported format. For ex: the notebook.mkv, ironman.avi, etc... Look for free video converters for PSP on google, I'm pretty sure you will find one. Process is the same for music.

#2 - If its a downloaded game, you will need to flash your PSP console in order to play it (Research in google, you will find some useful information). Flashing enables all kinds of games (downloaded), Be WARNED, flashing can really hurt your system if you don't know what you are doing. It can even cause your system to be unusable.

Which format of downloaded game will run at psp??

Hello,

Thank you for using Fixya!

If you have a custom firmware (3.71 m33 or higher) then you can play game that is ISO or CSO format. You can also play games in EBOOT.PHB (PS 1 games converted to PSP).

To play ISO or CSO you need to put the file in the ISO folder in the root of your PSP's memory card. And as for the Ebot.php files you need to put that inside the root folder PSP/Game folder.

Hope this was helpful.

Sincerely,

I have Converted some videos files .avi, .flv etc into a DVD when played on a ps2 slimline the video is displayed in black and white not colour could you tell me how to fix it. also which video formats can...

Obviously, your video files are broken during conversion. U need to use another tool to convert your video files. And i always use Pavtube Video Converter(http://www.pavtube.com/video_converter/) to help me convert video files to other format i need. It can maintain the original quality during conversion. VOB format is good for your ps2.
Good luck

How can I play Canon's HD .MOV files on the PS3?

Hi van derb
You would need to convert MOV file into a format which PS3 understands.
This can easily be done with a simple conversion tool such as the 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter.
1) Download and install 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter. Once installation has completed, launch the program. Step
2 ) Click "File" and then "Add" from the top menu of the 3herosoft PS3 Video Converter program. Browse to the folder and location of your MOV file. Select the file that you want to convert to PS3 format and click "Open." Once selecting the file, it will be added to the conversion list. Step
3) Edit the file as desired. Modify fields under "General" in the upper left-hand corner of the program window. Changes can be made to video size, duration, frame rate, buffer size and more. Step
4) Click "Convert" button (red circle) to convert the MOV file into PS3 format. Locate the converted file and transfer it to your PS3 for playback.
You can download this software from following link. http://download.cnet.com/3herosoft-PS3-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10909133.html

Please rate, as this will help us know whether solution was helpful or we need to improve on it. If not resolved you may post a comment and let me know, so that I can research and provide you with a better solution. Thanks :)

Video problems

maybe video format is not compatiable with PSP. I heard this video converter converts video files, YouTube videos, movies so you can play them on your PSP. The software can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mpeg, YouTube, etc.) into the proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the PSP.

Psp video playback

Hi. The PSP only plays a limited number of video formats; I think off hand MP4 is one. It will not play AVI formatted files, the most common type on PC for downloading.Check the file type of the movie you are trying to watch, by right-clicking on the file on your PC then selecting 'properties'. It should say there. Also holding the cursor over the file for a few seconds should show you the file info. I am unsure how to convert between video formats, you might be able to download something online that will do that for you.

How do you load a movie on a psp?

Hey!
Usually, the DVD has CSS protection, therefore, you need a DVD Ripping tool to help you remove the protection first and then convert DVD into the PSP supported video. And PSP usually supports MP4 and WMV video. So after converting DVD to MP4 or WMV video, you can enjoy it on your PSP. There are a lot of such DVD ripping software. I recommend you use this Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum which is very easy to use with only 3 steps. Usually, converting a dvd movies only takes half an hour. You can have a free try of it at: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-ripper-tools.html#181.
Hope that helps!
