Perhaps the computer isn't working, but appears to be. No computer running, the monitor powers down to conserve power. The LED lights can light, fans may be running, making the computer appear to be working, but there may not be enough power to turn the Processor on. No Processor running, no computer. No computer, no video signal. No video signal, the monitor powers down to conserve power.

Bro it occurred that your system hardware has experience a low power supply wattages that cannot support your entire system hardware wattages requirements. Better change your present power supply into a higher power supply wattages.

My monitor hp 1702 is saying monitor is going to sleep. I cant even get my cd part to open windows xp professional 1-2 cpu hp

It sounds like you have the problem with the PC itself, you can try this monitor with another PC just to narrow down the problem.
The PC mayhave hardware problem usch as bad power supply that may explain why you cannot even open the CD tray.

May monitor shuts down and cant get it open even though the cpu is still running. i have to pull the plug and put it back on just to get it started again.

Do you a nvidia video card? If so, go to the Nvidia site and download the latest driver. My HP Desktop was doing the same thing and since I did this I haven't had it to happen again.

Computer shuts down by itself

There can be many reasons of unexpected shut down of your system.Below are some remedies to solve it

1
Run an anti-spy ware and anti-virus utility to make sure that the shutdowns aren't being caused by a malicious program. If the shutdowns are infrequent, install a CPU temperature monitor utility to keep track of the CPU's temperature. If the CPU is overheating, or the shutdowns are frequent, then you will need to troubleshoot your computer's internal components.

2
Check any recently installed internal components to ensure that they are properly connected to the computer's motherboard. Make sure any new expansion cards or memory modules are securely seated in their slots, and ensure that the power and data cables are properly connected to any new drives.

3
Check for large dust buildups on your CPU fan. If the fan isn't effectively cooling your CPU, the overheating CPU will cause your computer to power off. Carefully pick away large pieces of dust with your fingers, and then spray the CPU fan with a can of compressed air to remove the rest of the dust.

4
Reapply the heat sink compound between the CPU and heat sink if the computer continues to turn off unexpectedly. Heat sink compound is a pasty substance that fills the space between the heat sink and processor, which increases the heat sink's ability to absorb heat from the CPU. But worn heat sink compound won't properly redirect heat away from the CPU. Power down your computer, disconnect its power cables and open the case. Unplug the CPU fan's power cable from the motherboard, remove the heat sink and fan combination from the CPU, and then apply the heat sink compound to the CPU--refer to your product manuals for details on reapplying heat sink compound.

Thanks .
Have a great day.

My lg monitor always turns off and says "ANALOG SAVING MODE" and my cpu turns off too i dont know if the problem is on the cpu or monitor

The CPU should not turn itself off, it should run without the monitor attached, you can try reseating all the cards and memories, blow out the dust built up inside the box and the power supply. Please post back what you find.

Initially, my fan would run fast and then slow. Then, it began to shut off frequently by itself; the monitor would state "monitor sleeping." Now, the CPU will not power on at all. Even after having a...

Fixing the problem would have been to change the fan when it started to fail. The bearings were probably going out and causing it to labor and slow down. When the fan quit altogether that was the big flashing warning sign "Do not run till you fix me" type of warning. CPU's develope tremendous amounts of heat. Without a fan there to cool it, it could have damaged something.

1. Get a new fan
2. Unplug all add on cards
3. Unplug hard drives, floppys and cdrom
The only thing that should be plugged into motherboard is the video and ram and keyboard. Unplug power supply for 1 minute. Make sure the power supply master switch on the back is on. Try to start the computer. If it starts then start connecting your drives back one at a time and any addon cards. If it doesn't start you may be looking at replacing motherboard or CPU. I've never seen an Intel CPU fail even from heat but there is a first for everything.

My Pc heats up very soon and then power off itself.

Do you have forced air cooling fans running over the CPU and motherboard? If not then get them running. Check to see if it they are running correctly. Make sure that all the heatsinks are free of dust and any other obstructions – vacuum them out with a soft brush tool. Also monitor the fans speed and CPU tem from the BIOS. Also check that the CPU heatsink is correctly mounted on the CPU and if necessary get some heat transfer grease and cover the top of the CPU ii it making sure it is evenly spread and then reseat the heat sink and secure it firmly. Do not let it fall on the motherboard or CPU pins or socket. Monitor the CPU temperature in the BIOS. You can also invest in a can of freezer spray from an electrical component store and spray areas of the motherboard to see if this helps. Try small areas at a time starting with the CPU & Heatsink. Then try the maim system RAM and then move on to the BIOS chip and NVRAM and then on to the graphics processor or card. If all this fails you may need to replace the CPU.

My laptop swithces off itself every 40 minutes

This is typical of a overheating (thermal shut down) CPU problem.
When the CPU overheats and shuts down, it won't bootup again until the CPU cools down. If this is not fixed then the CPU will fail.
This problem is caused by either a faulty fan or the fan and heat assembly is clogged with dust.
Check the fan to see if it spins freely, replace if faulty and clean the dust off the fan and heatsink assembly.
Also apply fresh thermal paste to the heatsink/CPU.

HP proliant dl 360 g3 error code 1611 cpu fan failure

Remove all 6 fans, and then remove the fan rack itself. Then tighten the 2 pcb thumb-screws underneath. I believe this is sometimes the reason for false 'failed fan' reports.
