I dropped my fone in water once well i got rained on and it was in my pocket...it didnt stop working..just the touch screen but i got it fixed..weeks later it starts giving me this problem..when i switch it on it loads then a message saying insert sim card comes up...it switches on completely sometimes n it doesnt on others..or it goes on then the error comes up once its on already..are the two problems related and is it fixable?

Your Ipod needs repairing. Take it to an Apple repairer and get a quote. If the repair is too high then put your money towards a new Ipod.

once dry the parts on the fone may rust making it useless... take it to a foneshop so they can use the right vhemicals to clear it of contamination from the water ingress... i repair fones. your fone will most likely work once dry but within maybe weeks or months it will be useless and the IC's on the board would have rotten beyond repair

o as long as you didnt drop it hard or anything like thet or drop it in water you should go to the store that you got it from and they will check it out then send you a new fone and you will give them your fone to check and make sure you didnt do anything to it and you will keep your new fone and your old one will b kept by them to try to fix hope i helped!

Mine did this before. i ended up having water damage and needed a new fone. i didnt drop it into water or anything, but i had it in my pocket in rain, and it slowly got worse and worse.

Okay, you never want to take a phone apart to get the water out.
you will wont to keep the battery out for as long as possible and what i would do is put a blow dryer to it, maybe about 20 minutes a day for a week (remember being careful not to leave it in the same place to log) and then once the week is over but the battery back in and attempt to turn it on. if it does not work you may want to just get a new one. water damage is serious. and if you open up the phone there is a great risk of getting shocked.

This problem fix only authorised service centre. Because the screen is filled with water. So u can replace the screen. Only authorised service centre have the original parts. So plz contact service centre for help.

Damage requiring service... Unplug the product from the electrical outlet and refer servicing to an authorized service technician or provider under the following conditions.
1. the product has been exposed to rain or water.
2. the product does not operate normally when you follow the operatin instructions.

* completely turn off the device * remove the battery * take a cotton cloth * hit it for some time, not very hot * press your mobiles screen with the cotton for 2/3 min, do it for 4/5 times, if no luck escalate it to vendor and don't tell them it is because of water drop otherwise warranty will be void. thanks Arun

sorry to say this but a wet phone is ruined. You will have to take it to a tech at your phone server. They will either repair it or you will have to get another one. Water and phones do not go together at all. Sux.
