I got the exact same error message, it`s probably something going on with Playstation Network itself, not our systems.

SOURCE: I keep getting signed out

80710A06 - An error occurred during the install operation (error when downloading game from PSN - network error occured

This error can occur when the PlayStation Network is down, or when your router is not forwarding ports.

It does appear that the network is down, as stated here. However, you can still check to see if port forwarding is the issue.

To check if you are port forwarding, visit this site and select the router you are using.

These are the ports needed to be forwarded:

-This may not be required if your router has an option called UPNP-

  • TCP:
    • 80
    • 443
    • 5223
  • UDP:
    • 3478

SOURCE: Try to sign in and

Hello,

The PlayStation Network is down at the moment. Sony Entertainment is working on this. The code is from the site not a physical error with your PS3. That code says - "80710A06 - An error occurred during the install operation (error when downloading game from PSN - network error occurred." The only way I have heard of to fix this is to reset the system to defaults. Go to the settings -> System Settings --> restore system defaults --> then restart your system. This will clear your code. HoweverThe PlayStation Network is down and this too can be in part the problem but the hard reset is what takes care of the issue when the PSN is running normally. I'd wait till the PSN comes back online before a hard reset.

Regards, Tony

When i go to sign on to my PlayStation network it keeps saying "An error has occurred , you've been signed out"

Don't worry Adam, It's simply our friends at Sony carrying out maintenance. We'll all be back online soon, It is a pain though that all we get is an error code rather than a simple message from Sony sayung that the psn is down for maintenance. I wanna get back on MW2!!!
Hope this helps.

Playstation Network is currently undergoing a massive overhaul, probably to support the cloud features Sony recently announced. It has been down for a while, and that is why you are getting this error message. Try again in a few hours.

Signed out of playstation network

Hi,

This is a known issue with the PSN Network today and is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system. Users all over the world are affected by this and are facing similar issues.

Sony is working on the problem and the problem will be rectified soon. Kindly wait for further announcements from Sony

Please be assured that the problem is not with your unit and your system should work normally when the issue gets fixed

Cannot sign into playstation network or get into any of my games

Hi,

Don't worry. There is a huge problem occurring right across the board at this very moment with the PSN Network. Some consoles are not synchronising properly due to an internal clock error and this is causing problems exactly like you describe. It is expected that Sony will soon have this resolved.

For a full breakdown please look at this FixYa Tip.

If the solution helps, please leave a vote for it. Thanks.
