what this indicate is that the programming of the system will need to be reset from the control unit

what you are to do to fix up this problem is to put off the system from the main power supply then unplug it from the unit unscrew the strolls then clean up the panel of the control unit i mean the switch or the remote control very well with clean rag or soft brush and be very careful with wires around then couple it back the problem is solve

Obviously a direct short. Take pic, remove all wires, replace fuse. Wire by wire, turning power back on each time until fuse pops. When it does, there's your problem.

Bonaire vulcan comfort control

No it cant really be fitted as the evap system uses much larger duct and also in some cases people use a different type of duct that when running a gas heater threw it it tends to melt with the heat. Your best option would be to get new ducting that way you can size it correctly so you dont have air alance issues down the track.

My Vulcan bonair evaporative cooler when turned on is making noise like its working but no air is coming through the vents. The pads disintegrated a few weeks ago and came through the vents. Has worked...

I would think you have to get new pads for it, they hold the water so the van can blow the moisture through them and then into the air. You should be adding a drop or 2 of bleach/javex to the water every week or so to prevent the grown of bacteria in the unit. it will cut down on colds etc. hope this helps.

I have an evaporative cooler: vulcan bonaire. the only control buttons which appear to be useful are: on/off, cool in the 'appliance' window, and cool in the 'mode' window. i have a feeling that this is...

Hi and welcome to FixYa. The principle of operation of an evaporative cooler is to provide cooler air via evaporation. The evaporation process is achieved by water being pumped over very porous pads with air is drawn through the pads. Most all evaporative coolers unless connected with a centralized heat / cool system only have an on / off & cool function. "On" is fan only (air circulation while using outside air being drawn into the home) and "cool" turns on the pump to pump water over the pads for evaporative cooling. Hopefully I did not confuse you with my answer.

Happy New Year and thanks for choosing FixYa,

Vulcan-Bonaire : summer breeze

This unit is a cooling unit only. I don't know what switch you are looking at but I don't think it's for the evap. cooler(swamp cooler). I am in the Phoenix, Arizona area and it's very common to have a evap. cooler and a seperate heat/cool system as on the hottest days the evap. cooler doesn't cool enough. I hope this helps. Please give me a positive rating. Thank you.

Touch pad on

It is more than likely the touch pad that is faulty. I have installed many bonaires, and the only thing to go wrong at that age is the touch pad, or the problem is in the control box in the airconditioner.

The touch pad comes off quite easily by placing something flat behind the pannel and leavering it off gently. The touchpad has two pieces, the front, which you see, and the mounting bracket. The bracket is almost as big as the front pannel, so you only have approx 2-3mm of plastic edge to lever, so be careful not to hook onto the mounting bracket as well.

Once you have removed the front, you can then unplug the lead coming from the touch pad (be sure to turn the control box off in the airconditioner before removing this wire, there is a switch on the side of the control box (yes, you have to get on the roof, sorry)). Take the touch pad to your local retailer that sells Bonaire units and see if that is the problem.
