Composite video (yellow, red, & white) forces luminance and the two chromanance video signals into a single signal, destroying the ability of your TV to recover all the original signal information. The result is an inferior picture quality. Coax is by far the better choice.

Hope this helps.

I need a longer coaxial cable. How can I connect 2 cables together without a connector?

Ask yourself is the frustration worth the cost of a connector? If not then strip the wires and connect them. You may damage it however you will not have the cost of the connector.

Attaching coaxial cable with rc jack but unable to get any audio video etc from it. doodal

Coaxial cable (like catv wiring) can be used with adapters at each end for RCA connections, however, even if it 'works' the sound quality will suffer, better to get a set of proper RCA patch cables for your connections.

Hello and thank you for allowing me to help you.

PLEASE reward the ACCEPTED best answer

******There are several ways to configure your setup, we will cover the most cost efficient way first****

1. You can purchase a TV TUNER PCI CARD or AVG GREEN OR BLACK PORT (SHORTER) to plug straight into your WHITE COLOR slot
2. All you would need is a TV COAXIAL cable to plug straight into the available coaxial cable slot AFTER installing the software
3. You will know that your install went well when you do not receive any errors
4. You will more than likely receive a remote control with your new card

More expensive method

1. Purchase a USB BASED TV TUNER with an available coaxial cable port to plug your cable tv line straight in. This should also include a remote.

Hd tv to vcr

What model and manufacturer DVD/VCR combo are you using. if it has a HDMI port, you should buy a HDMI cable to your combo player than to your HDTV (most don't have this High Definition port.) 6f3606c.jpg
otherwise, it probably contains a composite port, connect the red to the red (Left) white to white (mono) and yellow to yellow (Video) than connect the wires to the matching port on your HDTV) then switch the input to AV or Composite. 9701d83.jpgb5e3eb0.jpg

If this fails, you need a coaxial cable.85dec5e.jpgconnect a coaxial cable to your player then to the coaxial port on your tv. change the input to "either Coaxial, Cable 3 or any input that sets it to coaxial input.
