Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
I bought my dell inspiron 6000 2 and half years ago and recently reinstalled windows xp again through the recovery cd they had provided when I first bought the laptop. However my wireless is not being detected and there are no drivers for it either since I reinstalled windows. Does someone know which wirelss card is in the laptop and which version? Im based in the UK and far as I remember its broadcom but I dont know which driver to dload. All the advise and help I can get regarding this problem will be highly appreciated. Thank you!
I,d suggest trying this link.
and downloading the broadcom diagnostics utility, this will determine your card type. if this does,nt work for you. download them all, put them in a folder on your desktop.go to the device manager and click on the device/update driver. and search desktop folder, for the updated driver.
once this operation is completed succesfully, it would pay you to backup all of your device drivers, for future reference.
