Question about Dell Latitude C640 Notebook
Ok my concern is that upon loading windows i will hear a log on sound on my laptop, but about 10-15mins within the programs after loading i will hear a loud click and the sound will automatically cut off, i have been experiencing this problem for over a month now and i have tried everything, i was told that i may need the Dell Resource CD but i bought this laptop second hand and never received that CD, so i have tried to update drivers that my notebook's wizard can find but it says that the drivers that i have is working properly, i am unable to play my media player due to this problem also i have ran dxdiag and checked under sound and tested the hardware but there was an error telling me that there was a generic failure, and it was unable to test my sound, this problem is very frustrating to me, can anyone pls, pls, help me out.Any suggestions is acceptable as long as it will help me to solve this problem with my sound.Thx.P.S.recently i have noticed also that whenever i let the laptop go on standby mode the sound will come back but as soon as i go on any sites it will work for another 5mins then shut off again with that loud click sound.Pls Help me, anybody.
