SOURCE: my phone can't read memory cards

There might be a problem on the card reader of your phone, try using low memory cards that has up to 512mb storage capacity only. try different brands as well their might be a compatibility issue on the cards that you are using.

Hope this helps

I have a new memory card and can't read on my mobile but read in others mobiles..and its type micro SD ?

Please format the memory card So:

Delete some unnecessary files in your phone memory like images and videos. Go to your phone gallery and delete some of those. And if you want to use the memory card as phone message storage then go to Messaging - Option - Settings - Other and then Memory in Use, select your memory card.

But if your phone is infected with a virus then you need to format your phone. One sign of infection is your phone keep sending a message randomly from your contacts without your consent.

Use these code and enter it to format your phone:
*#7370# and then the default code is 12345

Take note: Make sure you back-up your contacts or any other important inside your phone.

Hope I make it clear and does makes sense

My 2gb sandisk memory card is not accept in my samsung mobile how to repire my card

Maybe there is NO problem with the sd card. I don't know what series Samsung phone you are using but I suggest you read the phone manual about external memory card supporting information. See if this type of 2GB sd card is supported by the phone. Best regards.

Hi Can you tell me how I trsnfer dat from my phone to my mobile as ther is no pc suite. I have the memory card in the phone but I have the manual and it does not sya how to this. I have an empty memory...

You want to transfer data from phone to PC or vice versa???
The PC may be having a data card reader (place to insert the memory card in)? Insert the card there and from My Computer click on the additional drive that has appeared after insertion of the card and use it as a normal drive to copy and pasted any files. Only you have to bear in mind the formats that the phone uses else the files would be on the memory card but the phone will not be able to read them. You must know all the types of files that the phone is capable of using/reading. Mostly it is JPG for pictures and .3gp for videos. But most phones these days do read .mp4 files too.

See i have a memory card for my phone and i use a usb connector to plug it into my computer and ive tried to add songs but it wont let me because of a write-protection thing on it

You can plug most memory cards directly into your comnputer if you have a card reader, and put songs or whatever you want on it, but your phone won't read it unless it has an application that reads that certain file type, or if the operating system on your phone will read it (like if you have an iphone, it will read songs because of itunes application) otherwise, putting all the songs you want on it will not do you any good.

Maybe you want to give a little more information? (like what phone you have, what type of memory card, etc.) That way someone can help you better.

I've placed music on the memory card, it reads perfectly in another samsung phone, but on this one, it refuses to even recognize the music even being on the memory card itself.

Your music is most likely in the wrong format. Your samsung gravity can only play music that is in .mp3 format. The other samsung phone can read the other music file types (for example WMA) that your gravity cannot. There's nothing wrong with the phone or memory card, its just the way the phone works.

Transferring music files to microSD card

It says on the manual this this phone accepts microSD™
memory cards up to 2 GB (depending on memory
card manufacturer and type). Check with your phone manufacturer if there are known issues with a particular memory card brand.

Also, try connecting the memory card to your computer via memory card reader and see if the card will be detected. That way, you can check whether the card is working or not. Save the music files from the PC to the memory card, then see if the music files will appear when you insert the card to your phone.

No phone memory displayed

First try to swap the memory cards to see if it is not a problem with the handset itself to be able to read the memory card.
