I can help you with your 'nail polish on the LCD screen' problem.

The word on the street is:

  1. Half fill a large bowl with warm clean water.
  2. Have one clean dry rag handy for drying and a second rag handy for touching up with the warm water.
  3. Take nail polish remover without acetone.
  4. Put some in a small bowl or dish.
  5. Take a Q-Tip and wet it with the acetone-free polish remover.
  6. Roll the Q-Tip across one of the affected areas. Soft rub is acceptable, but patience is better. The remover will slowly 'melt' the polish onto the Q-Tip.
  7. Use a new Q-Tip as necessary.
  8. Use the warm water on one rag to wipe up drips down the screen and periodically wipe the affected area, & the drying rag to keep everything drying clean.
  9. Repeat treating one affected area until the nail polish is removed from the screen, and then move on to another area.
  10. Give your daughter a hug and tell her how easy it was to fix the mistake.

I hope that helps.

I've never had to remove polish before but they make an lcd screen cleaner that might help. It's called Monster Screen Clean, it's made to remove normal stuff like dirt and grime, but at least it is not harmful. some of those chemicals in the other cleaners colud eat the panel up and ruin it even more. You can find the cleaner anywhere they sell tvs Best Buy, Walmart etc in the tv accesories section. Also don't press too hard on the screen you can actually break it if you press too hard on it. good luck

Our fridge is rusted underneath the water dispenser it is a kenmore purchased at Sears July 2003, the rust began 2 years ago, in a small spot of which was not too noticeable, now it's ridiculous and...

Hi!!
Sand down the rust, clean the area around it and apply a couple of coats of Appliance Paint of the same color, the more coats you apply, the better protection against rust you'll have. You can find that paint at any HomeDepot or most Hardware Stores. They have it in spray can and nail polish size to apply with a tiny brush.

Tip To Remove Nail Paint Easily !

Have alook at some of the easy and handy ways to remove the nail polish.

1. Dark nail color

Taken aback? Well it is true! If you have a deeper shade of nail paint than the one existing one, you can use it as a paint remover. Apply the darker paint to your already painted nails generously and immediately remove it off using cotton balls. Make sure to be quick in doing it so that the paint does not have sufficient time to get dried.

2. Perfume

Love to wear perfume? Well, here we give you have another reason to buy them. Regular perfume will help you a lot in getting rid of your nail color. All you need to do is dip a cotton ball in a generous quantity of perfume and gently rub the painted nails with this. This requires not much pressure and one can get their nails paint-free instantly.

3. Body Spray

If you happen to find the bottle of your nail remover empty, consider the bottle of your body spray for the same purpose. Place the bottle in such a way that the nozzle remains just a few centimeters away from the nail. Now, spray it on your nails and slowly wipe off your nail color by using cotton ball. Repeat the same process for all other nails.

4. Dry cloth and warm water

Take some warm water and put the fingers in it. Wait for the polish to soften enough (this should take about 20 minutes), and then, take out the fingers from the water. Using a dry cloth, gently rub the nails. The color will disappear.

5. Vinegar and lemon juice mixture

Replace the acetone-filled polish remover with a very easy and simple home remedy which is safe. Take 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar to this. Blend both well together. Then, dip a cotton swab into this mixture and gently rub the painted nails using this. Spending about 10 to 15 seconds on each nail will remove all the traces of the old polish efficiently.

Carpet Stains

I have a blue rug in my living room. The other day bright green nail polish was spilled on it by our daughter.. My husband was ready to freak. I soaked the spot with nail polish remover and rubbed it with a damp rag. I then sprayed it with Woolite spot spray, rubbed in a circular motion and let dry. The rug is fine and there's no more stain.

Super glue stuck on fingers

To remove the supper glue from you skin you need to Immerse bonded areas in warm, soapy water. Peel or roll skin apart; a spatula or teaspoon handle or even a pencil will help. Remove cured adhesive with warm, soapy water (may take several applications). Fingernail polish remover with an acetone base has also been successful for removal of cured adhesive from skin.

Good Luck

1999 VT 1100-How do I remove the decal or tank badge from tank?

For stick on decals try using hot soapy water and a lot of care .don't pull too hard as you may take of paint with the decal once you have poured the hot soapy water over the decal ,try and get the edge of the decal to come away from the tank .start with your thumb nail Never use any abrasive tool like a knife or screwdriver as this will scratch the paintwork.and once you have a finger grip pour hot water on the decal directly where its attached to the tank .The hot water softens the glue on the decal .pull very gently .it does help tp have another person pouring the water on the decal ,this will leave your hands free to remove the decal.Once decal has been removed ,try using a small amount of petrol on a rag or a good colour restorer polish .to remove the glue left on the tank .Depending how long the decal has been on the tank ,you may well find that the sun has bleached the tank from it original colour .and the paint under the decal will be much fresher looking and of a deeper colour.

hi from uk i am going to pass on to you an old remedy that a body spray painter passed on to me when i had a silver cortina 1600E in my youngr days and it does work ! if you obtain a tin of liquid metal polish ie brasso or carr day and martins metal polish pour a generouse amount onto a soft cloth then do a panel at a time ie front wing ? rub polish in straight lines only over panel apply firm pressure and be careful not to miss anywhere ? doing this removes all old wax polish and enhances the silver shine then wash panel with warm soap water of metal polish then leather or dry off ? you will feel the difference in texture of paint surface this requires lots of patience to do it right over all the cars body work afterwards use only wash wax liquid and rinse each wash not wax polish this remedy works magic on red painted cars that have turned pink matt ? using this method removes all old wax polish which has created pink due to sunlight as you may have noticed on other cars i hope you try this remedy at least on one panel? then look forward to your update/opinion on this ? best wishes from n/west uk

Popcorn stain in Microwave

Uhhhmmm, paint? Inside a microwave? YUCK.... that would make food taste like paint.

The yellow stain from microwave able popcorn is most likely a permanant issue. I have heard of the vinegar water, bleach etc working, but never had it work for me.

I don't recommend you painting the inside of a microwave. Some paint is flammable. Almost all paints are toxic.

Ink in the dryer

Rubbing alcohol will work to remove most of it if you use alot of elbow grease.

What I found worked the best and quickest was a Mr Clean Magic Eraser wetted acetone nail polish remover. Leave the dryer door open to let it air dry, then put a couple of white towels soaked in bleach water and run the dryer on a non-heat cycle to remove any remaining smudges.

To be paranoid, I then ran the same towels through the washer and dryed them on high heat to make sure there was no ink I missed that might ruin any further clothes.
