First time doing the backflow on my new pool. Now

First time doing the backflow on my new pool. Now I am getting a message to "Clear Drain Before Restarting. I put the lever on backwash, then turned the motor on and ran for a minute or two. Then, with the motor off I turned the the lever back to filter and added the DE and turned the motor back on and ran the system, until I saw white coming out of the scuppers. THen I got the message from above.

Do I add the DE when it is on Backwash, or filter.

You have something else going on if your in filter and getting DE back. The first thing to check is the spider gasket in the B/W valve. Pull the six, eight or ten screws that keep the top in place then pull the top out. If the gasket underneth is pulled out or stretched you can try to reset with silicone or just replace. Then be sure to have the pump off whenever you move the valve. This means be sure the pressure is all bled off when you move the valve, even just to push down on the handel.

How do I backflow a Jaccuzi pool pump model CFR150-S15TBU9-3-HK6?

**DO NOT** attempt to backwash/backflow a cartridge filter. You will destroy it if you do. Instead, you need to remove it from the canister and wash it per the manufacturer's directions.

How to Last Minute Rush an Inground Pool Vaumning

Did you ever want to just get the pool vac'd., without getting out the robot if you even have one, or pulling out the vacumn and hooking up the hoses, having to purge all the air out of the system just to get it ready.....you know the drill....and to make matters worse its real hot out!!
her's what i have found in my years of pool cleanup blunders, Put the pool selector valve to pool drain, get a long adjustable handled pole with a leaf type pool brush attachment, very slowly push the grit on the liner towrds the pool drain, do it gently and stop, wait until the smokey looking water clears(this means it went into the drain port and is being filtered out in the cannister).
Do this to the entire pool but dont rush it, after you are done check the PH and Chlorine etc. adjust, backwash the filter if your filter has a backwash system, and off you go onto another home project, this one just saved you a ton of precious time!!!
If you have the inground pool cartridge filter system you should remove the filter/filters and hose them out twice a year to keep them clear, when they start to look and act dirty and they cant get clean by hose take them to a pool pro and ask him to chemical bath them, thisfilter problem will be noticable when you see the pressure rising too high on your filter tank, it means the filter/filters are getting clooged and need attention.
Happy Homeowning!!

How do you backflow a pool pump?

I assume you mean backwash the filter. The pump will always pump in one direction.

I am also assuming that you have a sand filter with a filter control valve.

If your filter's waste discharge needs a hose attached to route the discharge to a ditch or other suitable location, be sure to attach the hose before beginning this process.

Turn the pump off. Set the filter control valve to the backwash position. Turn the pump on and run for 30 sec to 1 minute until the water being discharged looks clear. If your filter control valve has a Rinse setting, turn the pump off, set it to Rinse and run the pump for about 30 sec. Turn the pump off. Set the Set the filter control valve back to Filter and turn the pump back on.

What setting do you put it on to drain the pool for plaster repair

There is usually a setting on the handle that says "Drain" but if not you can always use the Backwash setting to get all the water out of the pool or at least most of it.

Sounds like there is an issue with the bottom drain. if it is set up to feed at the skimmer and is mostly clogged you may get this type of backflow. I would try putting your Vac Hose into its notmal location and connect the other side to the Gravity line for the bottom drain (also in the bottom of a skimmer) this may solve the issue permanantly if that is the issue. Next step is to have the bottom drain line Leak checked.

Whirlpool washer ghw9150pw0, error message f02. I have removed, cleaned and checked all drain lines and checked backflow ball. everything is good. May I assume the pump is bad.

HELLO THERE AND THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING FIXYA
The f02 error code is a long drain error meaning the following and here is what needs to be checked before replacing the pump
Long Drain
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

If it is backflowing, there is a small air leak somewhere in the sytem. It could be inthe pump, the heater, the filter, and unions, underground, etc.
Dont even bother looking for it as these can take a long time to find. Just buy a standard check vavle and plumb it in line. This should stop all backflow scenarios.

Flooding in both drawers of dishwasher

I suppose "flooding in both drawers of ..." implies water is not draining out. Is that right?

It is a very little information to give you any clear solutions.

Did the water get into the drawers without starting any wash program? Most likely it is the backflow from kitchen sink back through the dishwasher drain hose. Does your kitchen sink plumbing have an air gap sowehere. If so, is it clear?

If the water is the back flow then it is likely to be smelly and you do not want to run it through the dishwasher. I would suggest take the drain hose out from under the sink downpipe and drop into an empty bucket. Then take all the fixtures out from the drawers and empty out water using a small container.

Put the washer arms back and run each drawer on a short rinse cycle collecting the drain water in the bucket. If cycle runs clear, then get plumber to check the kitchen downpipe.

Reconnect drain hose.

Hope this helps.

To drain the pool, you have to change the position of your "backwash" valve.
Shut off the pump.
See if there is a DRAIN position on the backwash valve.
You could probably use the BACKWASH position, too, only water will go through the filter and then out the normal backwash pipe.
Turn the pump on briefly to see which pipe water comes out. Shut the pump.
Put discharge hose on that pipe.
Turn pump on until pool is low enough.
Return backwash valve to filter position.
