How do u activate the bluetooth of u135dx netbook (msi)

First of all, the top priority is to make sure your laptop HAS Bluetooth. Even though there are are Bluetooth indicators on the keyboard and a Bluetooth LED on the computer.... this doesn't necessarily mean they outfitted it with one. According to their product link, the Bluetooth functinoality is "optional" (meaning- if you didn't specifically ask for it when you bought it- it may have not been installed in the computer).
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=135&prod_no=2099
What I would do is give them a call- see if they can reference your customer information, or the serial number of the laptop to tell you whether or not they included a Bluetooth radio in your laptop. They have several numbers you can call, in different areas of the world. Choose the one that is closest to you: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=html&name=aboutus

Once you've confirmed you have a Bluetooth device in your notebook... make sure the drivers are installed (they would be if you just got this notebook, and never reformatted), and use this guide for Windows 7 as a reference for adding Bluetooth devices: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Adding-Bluetooth-Devices-Windows-7.html
Hope this helps!

I cant install my bluetooth in msi u100

Not all MSI Winds were sold with bluetooth. If bluetooth doesn't switch via fn + f11 then the hardware isn't present even if the software is installed.

Cant get my wireless connection to work not sure

To enable/disable WLAN, please press "Fn+F11" to execute the device: (then follow below steps accordingly)
Note: there are four stages in all, assumingly both bluetooth and wifi are installed.

First stage : press Fn+F11 = Enable WLAN only
Second stage : press Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN Off
Third stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth On + WLAN On
Fourth stage press : Fn+F11 = Bluetooth Off + WLAN Off

After enabling the WLAN, search the Access Point and connect with it. Now, you may use the WLAN.

If this does not work, check if the driver is installed in your computer by going to the device manager. check under network adapters. If the driver is installed, uninstall the current driver and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, you may download the driver update at the msi website: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474. Just make sure the driver you're downloading is compatible with yoru operating system

  • Hi, this will help you find: the bluetooth Devices. Go to, and click on the Start button, next in the search box; Type: "bluetooth," the Bluetooth Devices, will appear in the Programs category, select to open. In the next window "view," if the device is present? click on the "Bluetooth" device to "setup," and Install. Note: "If the "Bluetooth" device is not in the (Device Category)," go back to the search box, Type: "MSI VR" once again, if you have the function; MSI VR Application and Driver Installer, it will appear in the search devices, select to open the "Installer," you can install, Hardware Devices, and Drivers; if this option is available. Select the device, click on the "Install" button, and follow all the instructions. If this solution help? Feedback is appreciated, thanks paul7of9

I cant figure out how to turn bluetooth on

If you have already installed bluetooth from the CD-ROM, open the control panel wizard. Look for the Bluetooth portion that will take you to open and switch on your bluetooth device on your PC. Some other PC has switch to open a bluetooth in any sides of your PC.

I need drivers for Windows Vista x64

take a look at:

http://www.anycom.com/produkte/bluetooth_it_pc_accessoires/anycom_usb_250_usb_adapter/?id=103&partno=CC3036&tab=support
or alternatively an MSI driver for their 'Star Key' bluetooth adapter, which works as well:
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=131&prod_no=100

Before you install this make sure to remove all traces of previous drivers that may be installed. This can be done via right clicking the device and selecting uninstall within Device Manager.
If prompted, select delete device drivers from the system.
When this is completed for each bluetooth service, reboot the computer and disconnect your computer from the internet - This is to ensure that on system restart Windows does not download and reinstall the device and services.
Now simply run the Star Key driver installation package, reboot and reconnect the internet connection. On startup Windows may want to install a generic device, allow it to do so.
Initially if all the previous drivers were removed completely, your Linksys adapter should now work flawlessly.
