Please confirm if the model is SB906B*05.

The model number shown inside the front door is unclear because of the square print format which is faded but could also be SA906B*05 (bottom horizontal bar missing from a possible B) The panel name is Silhouette 906. I have contacted the Australian parts dealer Electrolux who insisted it would be SB not SA. There is also a serial number and bar code numbers on the inside sticker which are:

    Serial 344 64129

and the bar codes: 9315540200188 and 21344641299405

The unit is several years old. There is only one wiring dark grey harness lead marked M for the motor. The common Blue neutral harness wiremarked CM attaches to one lug of the capacitor.

Two of the motor leads go to capacitor lugs and one to a rectangular plastic insulated connector attached to the motor lead marked M but I am now uncertain which one goes where ( I shouldn't write on loose bits of paper). Unless someone can advise I guess the only way would be to again remove and dismantle the motor and try to find which lead connects to the centrifugal switch. All three leads appear to come from the motor stator windings so I am not sure that the wire attached to the internal switch would be the same color as any of the others anyway. There is no junction box on the motor housing.

The motor does run very noisily (electrically disconnected from the unit) with a power test lead connected line active to motor orange and white, capacitor terminal 1 to motor orange lead and capacitor terminal 2 to blue motor lead and line neutral. I have just serviced the motor by cleaning out the impeller and motor shaft mechanical seal assembly. I am reluctant to run further tests with the motor/pump reinstalled with other hook up combinations for fear of damage to the motor or mechanical seal.

Does the above additional information clarify the situation?

Most likely it is SA906B*05 as I can find a parts assembly diagram for it.

Are you able to confirm if the circulating pump motor on your dishwasher looks like the one shown in diagram item 23?

I will then try to locate the cable connections for this motor. Typically the coils in a Whirlpool motor are connected like

What does e24 mean

The error code E24 on Bosch dishwashers is a drain error code although it can be triggered by the circulation pump or main control issue. The first thing to check is your drain system, make sure the filters are not plugged and the check valve is in place. Your check valve is located in the bottom of your tub on the side wall, generally white in color. If those two things are looking good check your drain hose is it kinked or clogged? (Did you just replace your garbage disposal, if you answered yes, remove the plastic plug that comes on the new disposal.)
The next thing to check is your drain pump, when you press cancel can you hear a humming noise? If not you will need to check for power to the drain pump, there should be 120v. If all the items in your drain system test OK and you are still getting the code the next step will require you to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet.
After the dishwasher has been removed from the cabinet you will need to get to the main control on the lower right side. Make sure the breaker is turned off to the dishwasher at this time. Remove the connector with the three grey and three black wires. Your looking for 89 Ohms on the grey wires going to the drain pump, and 14 Ohms across the black wires going to the circulation pump. If those both check out you will need to replaced the main control.
( Just a quick update if your wash motor is not working properly this will also make the code come up. If the brushes in the motor get old this will cause the motor to drag and that's what triggers the error code.) Hope this helps!!!

Electrical burning smell coming from control panel on westinghouse dishwasher

Had the same issue with a 903sa. Strong burning smell. Continued to run for a while then just died. Opened the control panel (4 screws holding the plastic part at the top of the door on - open the door to access).

Mains feed into the controller was totally fried. Case was all melted. Very nasty. There was nothing obvious on the Board other than a mains resistor that looked like it had been pretty hot at some stage. The three pin mains connector (at least I think it was 3 pins) was just a big, charred bit of goop.

Hi - my Viking dishwasher has developed a problem where the pump runs continuously, whether the power switch is ON or OFF. After the power is turned ON, the troubleshooting guide indicates that there is...

if you open the kick plate, you'll see the pan below the motor and check for leaks. The leaks will trigger the sensor to pump water out. Once you dry out the pan, the pump motor will stop and you should be able to reset the program.

Dishwasher won't drain

The main cause is the drain pump motor. First check that the outlet hose is not blocked or obstructed. The drain pump motor is in line with the outlet hose and has 2 push on electrical connectors. To determine if the pump is working you could connect power via a lead to the 2 terminals of the drain motor and it should spin freely. If it does not spin it indicates that the motor is open circuit and needs replacing (easy job) If it does spin this indicates that the motor is OK and the fault lies with the electronic switching circuit. This is specialized work and should not be done as a "quick home fix"

"i'm replacing my Rheem RBGC 08KA FAU blower motor. My dayton 3lu83j 4 speed motor has white, black, red, yellow, orange, brown, and brown with stripe wires. My old westinghouse motor has only one brown...

There should be a wiring diagram on the side of the new motor.
The brown and the brown w/ white go to the new capacitor you should have bought with the motor.
The black and white go to your L1 & L2 power source. The remaining wires must be capped off.

Asko 1805 DW Circulation pump NF. What is the most common cause / fix. Is it the motor, impeller, capassitor or control board?

The pump motor can easly be tested by 1) Physically looking at the pump motor in the pump out mode. The motor must spin freely. The motor has 2 push on electrical connections that must have AC voltage across them in pump out mode. If voltage is present and motor not spinning indicates the motor windings are open circuit. No voltage at the 2 terminals indicate that the electrical / electronic switch circuit is faulty. The impeller could be jammed from debris or pipe blocked.

Replacing new AOSSQ1152

What's the source of the info that the two orange wires are Low & High?

Orange is an unusual color, but I'd say, with 99.999% certainty, that if you put a voltmeter across the two orange wires, it'll read 220 volts (nominal).

The two orange and one white lead give you the ability to run @ 110 volts -- there will be 110 volts between one orange and white and also the other orange and white.

For this motor you only need the two orange wires which will give you 220 volts between the two. Cap off the neutral/white wire (not needed) & connect the two orange wires, one to L1 and one to L2 on the motor (L = Line). And don't forget to connect the ground...

P.S. You should also have a GFCI on this circuit.

Detergent packs are not dissolving

Either:
  1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
  2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
  3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,
Vlad
