Question about Weber Genesis Silver B Grill

Weber Genesis Gas Grill won't heat up very high

Here is the answer to the problem that you wrote: open gas control taps on bbq let pressure out turn off taps reconnect tank turn gas back on

Please say that in never owned a bbq in my life women terms. Are the gas control taps the knobs that control the heat? so that tank was not suppose to already be connected? I'm hungry, help!

Yes the control knobs are what controls the heat, its a saftey thing on the bbq so turn off tank undo gas from tank open knobs release gas from line , turn off control knobs , reconnect gas line to tank ,turn on slowly , turn control knobs to on and light,

    belive it or not this worked for me also. It was only getting to about 250 degrees and following these steps workd and got it back to robust performance.

Webber grill burners will not go beyond just starting and I used it a week ago and no problem. I put a new gas tank on and the same. Genesis silver unit


This should fixya up.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank
  2. Disconnect the gas line from the tank
  3. Open the grill lid
  4. Turn all control valves to high
  5. Wait for about a minute
  6. Turn all control valves to off
  7. Reconnect the gas line to the tank
  8. SLOWLY turn on the gas at the tank
  9. Light the grill normally
Your grill should now heat normally

When we light the grill the burners only have a low flame. We can't turn it up to a high enough flame.


Hopefully this will fix you up. Follow exactly.
  1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank

My weber genesis silver starts up, but doesn't get hot enough to cook the food. Seems like not enough flame out of either front or back burners. I tried Outting in a full propane tank, but that didn't...

hi my name is mark, could be one of two things the regulator on the propane tank try gently tapping on regulator it could be sticking, and make sure the vent on regulator does not have a spiders web . or the orifices to the burners are restricted. check regulator some are ajustable, some are not. hope that helps. thanks for your question.

You can buy a "T" fitting that connects to the LP tank with a valve allowing you to pull LP gas off for your BBQ before the RV regulator

Most any RV shop can get them from NTP Distirbution
