Factory reset: restores device to original settings
Method 1:
use the Companion CD.
Start Setup Assistant
Plug unit in via USB
Click on "Factory Reset" within Setup Assistant.
Confirm you want to do this.
Method 2:
Hold down Windows button (button 2), OK buttonn (button 3) and record button (silver button on right side that looks like it has cassette tape stamped on it).
Press soft reset
Release soft reset when unit turns OFF, continue to hold other 3 buttons.
Release 3 buttons.
If unit does not display "Clean Boot", try it again.

ok so i dropped it like 4 times yesterday and now it won't start up, it gets to the HTC screen and hangs... what do i do i don't wanna lose all my data like my contacts. by the way my phone is the HTC S620
