Question about Nikon D300 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Tried to remove the EN-EL3e battery from my D300 after a photo shoot, but it will not come out. Normally, you push in on it and it pops out far enough to grab, but won't pop out. Seems the mechanism that controls that is stuck. Any suggestions?

My battery sticks because I dropped it down a mountain - no joke - the battery compartment is slightly out of shape - you can't really tell - so the battery sticks in. I just give it a gentle tap and it comes out.

I own a NIKON D300 it comes up with R21 if I use the two button reset I get R28 come up has anyone a solution please. David

Is this preventing you from shooting?
Normally the r-number simply indicates how many more shots you can take in the current burst before the buffer fills up and the camera has to slow down to save the pictures to the memory card. It's purely FYI and shouldn't stop you from shooting (until it gets down to r00).

Nikon r47 error

Is this preventing you from shooting? Normally the r-number merely indicates how many additional shots you can take in the current burst before the buffer fills. It's strictly informational, and should not disrupt your shooting (until the number drops to zero and the buffer fills, at which time the camera will slow down while it transfers the pictures from the buffer to the memory card).

I ave anew d700 to new batteries, only 6mths old, camera wont turn on, do I have to re charge batteries for 4 hours, I have recharded one battery for an hour just to see if camera will work and it wont,...

most companies recommend 24 hours charge time unless otherwise state in the manuals for the camera or rechargeable batteries. while with some cameras or rechargeable batteries you may be able to use right out of the box! also if are using third party rechargeable batteries then you should follow the instructions of the battery maker.

I don't know how to set the Nikon D300 for fast picture shooting.

Setting it to portrait mode should do it. Hold down the shutter button, it should be working. I'm not overly familiar with nikons, but otherwise it'll be in a menu mode if you switch it to a more manual setting. Probably under shooting mode. Set it to continuous shoot

How long do I need to charge my new Nikon D300 battery?

The EN-EL3e battery requires about ninety minutes for a full charge.

The charger will show a blinking light while it is charging. Once it is charged, the light will glow steady. Wait until the battery is cool to the touch before removing it and unplugging the charger.

About akkus EN-EL3e

Some of the Nikon batteries look different from each other, the number in different places etc.

However, all Nikon genuine EL3e batteries should have a hologram on the bottom.

Can you post a photo?
