Question about HP LaserJet 3030 All-In-One Printer

Hi! I was scanning a document in my HP Laserjet 3030 multifuntcional but the scanning was frozen. I tried to close the scanning software using Windows Task Manager and it worked OK. I turned off the printer and my PC, but now the printer can't start. When I turn it on the alarm indicator on the printer's control panel blinks (the display looks like transfering data) and it doesn't turn on correctly. How can I reset it? I'm using Windows 7 64 bits in English and my scan software is Vuescan 8.6.24 Thank you! Alejandro Gonzalez alexgonzalezm@casenet.com.mx

Hi,

To perform a soft reset HP LaserJet 3015, 3020, and 3030 all-in-one printers please do the followings: 1. Press MENU/ENTER.
2. Simultaneously press then release the * button and the # button to enter the Developer’s menu.
3. Press the < or > button until the message REINIT FFS appears on the second line of the control-panel display.
4. Press MENU/ENTER. 5. The process takes approximately 2.5 minutes. During that time, the control-panel display will change several times before returning to Ready. 6. When the Ready message appears on the control-panel display, press CANCEL to exit the Developer’s menu. Hope this helps. If this soft reset doesn't help, I can explain to perform NVRAM init.     Hi iokta!

    Thank you for your response.

    I have a problem. I can't access the configuration menu display using the procedure you provided because the display is like "stuck" and the printer doesn't respond when I press any key on the printer's control panel.

    The only thing that appears on the display is the "Hewlett Packard" name and underneath it, it looks like a line of text flashing very fast from right to left.

    Any other idea?

    Hi,



    You can perform NVRAM init procedures. NVRAM init returns all stored parameters in NVRAM to factory default values.



    To perform NVRAM init:



    1. Turn off the product.

    2. Press and hold down the * and MENU/ENTER buttons.

    3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the product. Hold the buttons through the entire power-on sequence.

    4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.


    5. When the message Language appears on the control-panel display, set the correct language and country/region.



    6. Allow the product to return to Ready before using the product.

    Hi again!



    I'm sorry... it didn't work... When I executed the procedure to reinitialize the NVRAM of my printer, the display never passed through the normal "startup" process.



    What happened was this:



    When I turned it on, while pressing the * and Menu/Enter keys, the display showed the same "Hewlett-Packard" legend and the lines moving fast from right to left, all time. I was pressing the keys several minutes, but the display never changed.



    Suddenly, the led indicator with the shape of a telephone, which was "on" all the time (on the left side of the control panel, under the green fax button) turned off and on again. in that moment, the display turned off too, but when the led turned on again, the display did the same and the "Hewlett-Packard" legend appeared again. I released the keys but there was no change.



    Any other idea?

Download the device-driver.
Install the device-driver.

When I scan a document with my HP 3030 the file document is much larger than the original. Help!


What is your resolution set at? 100dpi would be 100%, 200DPI would be 200% and so on...

We don't know how to get a document scanned with the HP 3030. We lost the guide. We never did until know, but would like to use this possibility now. Printing and copying works fine.


OK HOPE THERES A BUTTON FOR SCAN ON YOUR PRINTER..IF IT DOSNT WORKS THEN GO TO CONTROL PANEL..CLICK ON SCANNER AND PRINTER ICON. THEN YOU CAN OPERATE IT FROM THERE. OTHER PROBLEM CAN BE SOFTWARE UPDATE

You need to install OCR software to get that option.. check out with your printer software

Scanning multiple pages into one Word document


Scan all, then copy to the word document. You can edit your file into small so that you can put several file in single pages.

HP LaserJet 3030 Message: Scanning error cannot connect


I had the same problem on XP and Vista and it turns out that if your don't have the HP Toolbox Running/starting up with pc this caused my problem. Once I lunched it to startup with I am able to scan using the Scan To Button on my Scanner.
