Have you considered NOT connecting the camera to the computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag

Picture quaility is very poor, lines through the pitures. it started with only zoomed in pictures were this way, now its with all pictures.

Lines through the pictures is caused by a scratch or a defect on the lens, but sometimes, it's just on the camera screen. Try uploading your pictures to your computer, if the lines still show up then return the camera to your nearest service repair (or the place you bought your camera at) with your warranty card so they can fix this problem without you spending any money.

Kodak m1033 how do i upload pictures to computor? cannot find answer in small manual that came with the camera

Here are the steps to upload your pictures to your computer from your camera:

1. Plug in the the smaller end of the USB cable which came with the camera to the connection port of your camera which is located at the bottom.

2. Turn on the camera before plugging the other end of the cable to the USB port of your computer.
3. Upon plugging the USB cable to the computer the camera will show a selection: choose Mass Storage by pressing the menu button.

4. Wait for the computer to recognize your camera.
5. Click on My Computer on your desktop and that will bring you to the page of the Hard Drives. That window should show a new drive labeled as E./ or F./
6. Double click on that letter and that will bring you to your cameras storage which contains the pictures saved.
7. Just select the pictures and drag and drop it to a specific folder you want on your computer.

Hope that helps. Thanks.

Pete

I have a Kodak M1033 while uploading my photos on the Kodak software it was in the process of deleting pictures from camera and froze, now my pictures are deleted from the camera and did not succesfuly...

It's no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. There are very many freeware software options available to help you recover your files. Please see this blog article that reviews several of the better freeware recovery programs that you can download (and yes, these truly are freeware). You may need to use a card reader with these programs though.

Won't download to iphoto

How are you uploading your images. If you are using a USB cable to your camera try going to memory card and a card reader. A memory card and card reader are seen by your computer the same as a hard drive.
