Question about Snapper Pro S200x 27 Hp Kohler 61" Deckzero Turn Mower
Either the PTO clutch itself, or the wiring to it, is shorted, causing the fuse to blow. The PTO clutch is mounted on the motor shaft, prevented from rotating by an anchor bolted to the chassis. A pair of wires lead away from it to a connector (probably after passing through the chassis). Disconnect that connector - may be one for each wire, or a double-contact connector. Look carefully at the wires -- they are in a vulnerable area, lots of vibration, and could chafe to wear away their insulation, grounding out to the chassis. That could be fixed with some tape. Get an ohmmeter with a low resistance scale (200 ohms or less is even better) and measure the resistance between the PTO clutch wires - should be about 1.5 to 2.5 ohms. If much less, the clutch is shorted and must be replaced. Good luck! If helpful, please rate my answer, thanks!
