Click on the link below for the 2006 dodge charger wiring locations.
http://alarmsellout.com/support/diagrams/vehicle/DODGE%20CHARGER%202006.pdf NOTE *1 and *2 this vehicle requires a Special Circuit that requires (2) Relays and (2) Resistors, Starter #2 requires a (-)Negative thru a 180 Ohm Resistor and Accessory requires a (-)Negative thru a 610 Ohm Resistor, these circuits must be used for the vehicle to Remote Start, to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE *3 this vehicle uses a 1-Wire Door Locking System, LOCK requires a (-)Negative thru a 330 Ohm Resistor and UNLOCK requires a (-)Negative thru a 100 Ohm Resistor, some units will also require 2 extra relays, to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE *4 the DRIVERS DOOR is a PURPLE (-) wire in the WHITE plug Pin 3, the PASSENGER DOOE is a PURPLE/WHITE (-) in the WHITE plug Pin 3. the DRIVERS REAR DOOR is a PURPLE/GRAY (-) in the GRAY 26 Pin plug, Pin 10 and the PASSENGER REAR DOOR is a PURPLE/YELLOW (-) in the GRAY 26 Pin plug, Pin 9. When connecting to an ALARM SYSTME, use all 4 DOOR TRIGGER wires and DIODE ISOLATE, to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE *5 the REAR HATCH RELEASE will require a (-)Negative thru a 4700 Ohm Resistor and a extra Relay Part #R30-H, to connect, See DIAGRAM NOTE *6 to turn on the parking Lights on this vehicle will require a (-) Negative thru a 2700 Ohm and may also require a #R30-H Relay, to connect See DIAGRAM. click on this link below for more details:-- http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/2006-2007/Dodge/Charger/384.html i need a diagram to - 52bec91.gif

The ignition wire and starter wire are common at the ignition switch when the key is OFF or when the key is turned to be ON position. When installing the remote starter this could cause the starter to engage When the ignition wire is power up or cause the starter to come ON momentarily when the ignition key is turned ON in remote start. The solution is to add a relay to isolate the 2-wires during remote start. Be sure to connect your remote starters start output to the side of the relay going to the solenoid or the car will not crank during remote start. check fig:-- 38f4cbb.gif

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I have 2006 dodge charger Rt. I brought new battery an starter an have alternator rebuilt an my car still wont crank

There should be power o the small terminal of the stater anytime the key is in the crank position. I would start with checking that. If there is no power you will need to trace that circuit back.

That wire gets power from the starter relay and the relay gets power from fuse 20 in the TIPM (underhood fuse box). The starter relay control side starts at the ignition switch. The pink with dark green wire should have power with the key in the crank position. That power goes to fuse #10 in the TIPM. it then goes to the starter relay. the starter relay is grounded by the PCM.

Give that a whirl.

Shift indicator light won't work in d, 1, or 2... but it works in p, r, and n. A remote start was installed not too long ago. 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 cummins.

The vechiles start postive wire was tapped by the remote start install, it must be isolated using a relay to prevent feedback on the wire using a relay will solve the issue and return the indicator to normal.
