We have a Kohler pullout faucet. We have had it for about 9 mos. Lately when we first turn the water on the water is fizzy or foamie for the first 2 seconds then clears. What is causing this?

Sorry, I don't have a solution, but I do have the same problem, a month after installation. Water has a very acrid odor too

Ditto - Installed new faucet in March and 3 weeks ago (now Sept.) our water turned fizzy and acrid.

The good news: Kohler has documented this problem and says the plastic feed hose to the pull out faucet has a chemical reaction to some kinds of water. (I am the phone now (800) 456-4537

Apparently they have no solution yet, but they offered to replace it with another comparable pull out faucet. While disappointed, I must say that Kohler has been very good on the customer service end of things, here and with another issue I had with my bathroom faucets.

Kohler - Coralais Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet

te leak most likely is the cartridge you need to take the handle off and there will be a lock nut under where the handle was, turn the water supply off and remove the nut the cartridge will pull staight out, cartridges can't be repaired they need to be replaced. Watch out because some cartridges cost more than what the tap is worth

Turn off your water supply to the sink the disconnect the supply lines to the faucet. Reconnect supply lines making sure to use plumbers pipe joint compound of teflon tape. I've found teflon tape to be better. When installing the supply lines make sure that the threads aren't crossed and the retaining nut is snug.

Are you sure the spray handle is allowing the valve to open enough to allow enough water through? The problem it seems like is physical or mechanical. I am assuming you get good water flow through the faucet itself.
