Try to rest your device first and try again, if this do not work check your PC for any virus, uninstall any add ons, recently down loaded programms, if possible reset your PC to an earlier restore point. select from control panel- system-device manager-system restore. try to delete all off line contents, cookies , defragment your PC if not done earlier, connect the ipod now and check, if not check your ipod with another pc if there is any error on the memory.if so try to open by refreshing and searching for files using the search in the start.
