Question about Samsung Digimax S630 Digital Camera

Flash wont work

My camera turns on just fine, I never dropped the camera either. Here's the problem: My video camera works, and so does my program, manual, scene, portrait and night scene, only when it's off flash. But when I do have the camera on flash, the eye on the left side will just keep flashing and so will the green light on the right top side.

The steps that i have taken to resolve this problem is to hold the shutter button down for approximately 45 seconds and it will take the picture, but the camera still wont flash! Also I hit the reset button in the menu section to see if I had something set to the wrong setting but it still didn't work!

My flash does not work it is turned but does not flash..i tried resetting to factory setting but still wont work. was working fine yesterday

Chek if you are using Auto mode, or you changed it by mistake to Program or any other mode. If this is not your case, the software or some parts might be damaged, and you have to take the camera to a Canon dealer for repairs.

Flash not working

Assuming that you haven't put the camera into a mode in which flash is disabled, either the charging capacitor or flash bulb is defective. It will have to be serviced so the appropriate part can be replaced.

Wont take a picture unless I turn off the flash

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't take a picture when the shutter button is pressed, or with an inoperative flash. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

Canon SD1000 flash not working

This happened to my SD1000 and I followed the step by step instructions shown here:
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Replacing+Canon+PowerShot+SD1000+Broken+Flash+Unit/7778/1

and when I got to step 15, I found that the small plug that connects the flash to the camera body had been disconnected when the camera had been dropped. I simply pressed the connection back in tight and reassembled the camera - and it works. Maybe this happened to yours too??

The Flash on my camera won't work

When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged
before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it
could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.

You could still try these steps below:

First, do the POWER RESET:
- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera

Second, do the MASTER RESET
- Be in AUTO mode
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed

Turn it on and take a picture.
When you want to have just the AUTO FLASH.

- Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM
- Press the LEFT/FLASH button until you've seen the
LIGHTNING icon with the Letter A on the leftmost part of the screen
- Try to take a picture by pressing and holding the shutter button
halfway first for 3-5 seconds and then press it all the way down

Casio EX-Z57 Flash not working

Try resetting your camera and see if that helps. Sometimes it does. In REC mode press menu go to setup tab go up to reset press right arrow & highlight reset press set. If that doesn't work you are probably going to have to send it in.
