I power up my projector and it works fine for several minutes then the light goes out. Turn it off and back on it does the same thing. What could be the cause?

Hi there
Firstly check when the Projector is switched on , if all the fans are running.
If they are , then it can only be one of two things - either the Powersupply or the Ballast that has gone faulty.
Is there any indicator lights on the unit that flickers , and also what colour ?
Take out the lamp and check for any irreugularities on it like discolouration ( vein like looking marks in either white or black ) or if there is any bubbles on the shaft of the lamp. In which case the lamp will be at fault and will need replacement !
