Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
You need to connect the wirless router directly to the internet line and configure it. note that some isp do not support such devices being used as a modem. after connecting the main line to the router open a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 as the address. enter admin as the username and the password. if it does not work ask your isp for the unsername and password.
configuration will have to be done including assinging and ip address to the router. A technician for your isp (internet service provider) should be able to help you in the configuration or a technician.........will love to but i do not reside in your country and do not know much about your place. with all that said Remember that without the configuration process it will not connect as you said.
Let me know of the outcome.

In the Connect to a Wireless Network screen, locate the name of your wireless network in the list.
NOTE: If your wireless network is not in the list, click here to learn How to Connect to a Hidden Wireless Network. If your wireless network supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup , click here to learn How to Connect Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
Select your network. Then click Connect.
If the wireless network uses wireless security, enter the security key or network. Then click Next.
The Checking Connection screen appears while the Wireless Manager establishes the wireless connection. When it is finished, click Next to continue.
The Connected to Your Network screen appears. If you want the Wireless Manager to remember your network settings select Remember this network. Click Finish to exit the Wireless Manager.
NOTE: Saving a network's settings will make it easier to reconnect to the network.
