The monitor is not meant to produce any sound. Monitors do not produce sounds.
For you to get any sound, it has to be from the CPU or any other device you connect the monitor to.
Connect the speaker to the CPU or the device you connect the monitor, and it will produce sounds.
Take note, your CPU should have a sound card that the speaker is to be connected to.
