Question about Mitsubishi VS-5043 50" Rear Projection Television

Mitsubishi 61 in Rear Projection

Colors are not lining up. From what I have read it appears to be a bad convergence ic. Are these hard to replace?

No they are very easy with basic solder skills. you can get replacements aat this link, and they send free installation instructions and provide free tech support to help you do the repair. you need to replace both of them. Heres the link

How do i center the colors, red, blue and green?


The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadow pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board must be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

My Sharp 61 inch projection HD tv has a blue band of shadow that dips below the image. Looks like 3D without the glasses.

You have either bad convergence ICs or just bad grounds on the IC. I would go ahead and replace the ICs and check those small ohm resistors, as you have to pull the signal board out anyway. For futher instructions see the website www.TvRepairKits.com. They may have what you are looking for. Be sure you have the TV model number next to you. Replace the convergence ICs you need two STK392-110 convergence ICs You can get replacement ICs at the folowing link with free isntallation instructions.

I would suspect the convergence IC's are bad, look for STK392-110; replace.

Replace Both of your convergence ICs STKs, big black ICs.
STK392-560, also CK pico fuses around ics you may have 1or2 bad .
