Canon mp210 problems

My canon mp210 says that there is no paper in it but it has paper ready

Yes same here. My printer says that the printer is out of paper even though there is paper in it and prompts me to lolad it and press start. When I do press start it still doesn't print. This printer is literally new, I have printed one single document on it and it's acting retarted.

Paper pulling to one side no paper message.

Mine turned out to be a blockage I couldn't see. In an attempt to clear any obstructions I shoved a library card where the paper enters through the feeders till I could see it come out inside ( where you lift up the scanner for ink maintenance.) I went across its length re-inserting the card and then felt resistance. I carefully pushed and out came a little piece of stupid plastic. It works now .Sigh,.. The printer is set under a windowcill where it came from . I may also warn If you put stuff on top the scanner lid makes a great slide for sending them to them paper feeder .

I had this problem for a while before I decided to take the printer apart... there wasn't any obvious obstructions that I could actually see, so I put it all back together (fyi...don't bother trying this)
Then I came here.
Haupia's suggestion solved it for me. Instead of a library card, I used an old expired credit card, through the paper slider/roller back and forth (or in and out) along the length, just as described... Sure enough, a crumpled-up cigarrette wrapper foil popped out.
It's working great now...
Thanks Haupia!!

I M SO grateful for the credit card suggestion - after doing all the ¨looking¨and other steps, using the credid card which had more power than paper, my son found the problem - he actually paid attention to my inquiry suggestion - He found a cherry pit, contribution of my 5 year old granddaughter. Many many thanks from the Chile contingent user. Diane

I solved this....yeah!!i came on here for a solution and gave up. fiddled with my printer and it worked.heres what i did in case it can help anyone eles out.keep in mind im not a professional so i dont know if i am going to make your printer worse or not.

first i unpluged my printer.i took out all the paper and waited for like 5 mins.i then looked in side and saw that to the right on the bottom of the printer there was a little metal thing sticking up that was blocking the way of the ink canasters from moving...and possibly the paper from going threw.i pushed that down. and blew out some dust.i then blew in the area that the paper goes to make shure nothing was there.i pluged in the printer and put the paper in and pushed the power on.and there was no error flashing.printed out a sheet and it went right threw.

i hope this helps someone.and hope that i dont damage anyones printer worse by giving this out.but gooood luckkkkk........

Have you tried the basic trouble shooting tasks, like powering off you printer, removing the paper, powering back on and replacing the paper? Your paper also may not be down far enough into the paper slot to nudge teh sensor, meaning that though the papers there, the printer doesn't think it is.

My Canon MP210 is not sending paper through when trying to print. The roller doesn't seem to be able to grip the paper properly

Precisely. On many printers that get older, the rollers shrink and don't grip paper properly. I had this problem on a laserprinter made by HP, that would take 5 sheets at a time due to this problem.

What is error code 2 on a canon MP210?

This steps may solve your problem.

1.Load paper correctly then press black or color button (MP210)
2. Press on/off switch to reset the multifunction device
3. Remove Packing Material MP210
4. Reset ink cartridge MP210
5. The MP210 may require repair

If your printer is new , make sure the packing material inside the printer has been removed. You should have a quick setup page and/or users manual that will show you how to remove any packing material that is inside the printer.

If this is an older printer that has worked in the past, start with step

1, 2 and 4. If this does not work contact the Canon customer s
