Question about Steamist System 18 2@9KW 240V 1PH - 1810-IM
New System 18 dual unit just installed and slave sm11 does not turn on with master sm11. (F=female, M=male)
Two controls, temperature inside and timer outside are connected together behind inside temperature unit with 6 wire 2F to 1M coupler folloed by a 1F to 1F coupler and then run with single 6 wire cable 25ft to the master steam generator unit where a 6 wire 2F to 1M coupler plugs in to the master. A sound cable 25ft connects to this 2F coupler and runs to the slave unit and connects to 1M jack on slave board. Master unit comes on with controls but slave is never seen to activate.
Both units function seperately if test button on control board is pushed. Slave is powered up and can function with test button only.
Is there a jumper to move or different wiring than is given?
Are the wires and 2F to 1M splitters and !M-1M all identical with full 6 wire straight through support?
Are there any tips of Help ? !
You are almost certainly looking at a wiring problem with the interconnect cables. Check the continuity between pin to pin. You may find that some pins are reversed. This could be okay, or not. Verify with manufacturer.
Are you using standard ethernet cables that you bought, or were they supplied with the unit, or were they made by yourself as a custom fit?

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM BLEEDING The clutch hydraulic assembly has been filled with fluid and bled of air at the factory. Do not attempt to bleed the hydraulic system. While the unit does not require periodic checking, it must be serviced, when necessary, as a complete assembly. The system is full when the reservoir is half full.
Only DOT 3 brake fluid should be added to the system. If the fluid level drops, inspect the system, including the slave cylinder, for leakage. A slight wetting of the slave cylinder surface is normal. Fill the clutch master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid. Be careful not to spill brake fluid on the painted surface of the vehicle.
