Question about GE Spectra JGBP30 Gas Kitchen Range
I have a GE JGBP30 gas range. The oven is taking a long time to pre-heat. I can hear it go on, then off breifly, then on again, then off, etc. Eventually it will heat up and I can use it. Is the ignitor starting to go?
Quiet possibly, but make sure there are leveling legs installed and the front edge of the range is not blocked by any flooring. It may be that the oven is not receiving enough combustion air. (sometimes happens when flooring is replaced and legs are removed so the range is not higher than the countertop, or a layer of flooring is added to the room and buts up against the range, where flooring was not added.)
