How to use Nikon Pk-3 extension tube?

It should work with just about any lens, though it works best with moderate focal lengths (say about 24mm to 200mm). Its primary purpose is to let the lens focus much closer than normal.

When you say "no results," do you mean it's not letting you focus closer? Mount the tube on the camera, mount a lens on the tube, then focus the lens to its minimum focus distance. Looking through the viewfinder, move closer to an object until it comes into focus. Does it come into focus? How close? What lens(es) are you trying?

After focusing it drifts out of focus. The knobs do not stay in the same place

There is a tension adjustment just inside the coarse focus knob. (same side as the switch) It looks like a chrome ring with 2 or 3 holes in it. You may have an odd looking tool that came with your microscope that is used to make this adjustment. Tighten it just a bit until the stage stops falling. You don't want it too tight or it will begin to make it difficult to adjust your coarse focus.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. The FOCUSER END of the tube is the UP end the mirror is the bottom of the telescope.

Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time.

Stage slides down after focusing

There is a tension adjustment for this. It is located on the coarse focus knob which is on the same side as the switch. It looks like a chrome ring with about 3 holes in it. A strange looking tool should have come with the scope. It is designed to fit into these holes and allow you to adjust the tension on the coarse focus knob. You need to tighten it just a little bit. Not too much or you will have trouble operating the coarse focus knobs smoothly.

How to adjust the lens-focus?

the lens has a wingnut knob on it, loosen the nut and then rotate the thing to focus in and out. there is also an electical focus in the front of the tv, there is a little black box called a focus block, 6 knobs , 3 focuses for each tube, 3 drive controls (screens).. dont turn the screens, just the focus for the color needed.. look closely they are labeled its just hard to see
the front should pop off, remove what screws you can find, the rest are snaps.. really tough ones.. let me know if you need further assistance.

Swift microscope no 634008 having problem staying in focus when switching magnification

First, a scope of this grade will not be completely in focus as you move from one magnification to the next. But it should be close enough that you do not loose your point of interest.
Be sure you are not pressing down on the stage specimen platform as you change magnifications. It is very sensitive to pressure. Also, be sure that the coarse focus tension is tight enough that the platform is not drifting down imperceptibly as switch magnifications. Look through the scope and watch if the image goes out of focus while you are watching it. If so, you have what is called "stage drift". This is corrected by tightening the tension on the coarse focus knob.
The tension adjustment is on the coase focus shaft. It looks like a chrome ring with about 3 holes in it. There should have been a strange looking tool that came with your scope. It is used to adjust the tension. If your specimen is "drifting" out of focus, simply tighten the tension ring a little bit at a time until the specimen no longer goes out of focus. Do not get it so tight that it is not easy to operate the coarse focus knob.

Sony rear projection tv model KP-53V15 turns on, have sound but no picture, after a while, picture comes on, but later goes out again, picture keeps coming and going. Where do I start looking?

Adjust Screen Volts (G2) of all 3 picture tubes and screen volt control knobs are on focus block located under speaker grills at front of TV.
Remove speaker front grille of TV, look for focus block that has 6 control knobs, 3 knobs are for focus and 3 for screen volts, increase volts by turning little bit control knobs of screen volts and this will solve your problem.

AKAI PT5598HD - I HAVE REPLACED THE CONVERGENCE BOARD AND PICTURE AND SOUND ARE "ON" BUT "PERFECT FOCUS" WILL NOT BRING BLUE INTO FOCUS. "PF" STOPS AT 37% - RED AND GREEN PATTERS ARE SHARP BUT BLUE IS...

Most of these sets have a SCREEN/FOCUS block---usually all black with 6 controls----you need to look close at it as one row of 3 will be screen controls---don't touch those----the other 3 will be FOCUS- MARKED in little letters will be r,g,b(red, green blue). TWO ways to adjust the focus: 1. carefully locate the blue focus control and adjust to see if blue will improve in focus. 2. each of the 3 large lens where the picture comes out have a wing nut and a slot--you can loosen the nut and turn the lens---usually best focus that way is if the part that turns is in the middle of the available area to move it.

I should point out that all projection sets intentionally de focus the blue--the lines if blue should be clear but never as perfect as green or red--this is normal.

I do this here for free so if this has been helpful give me a vote here.

Loose Focus ring assembly

IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AROUND THE FRONT OF YOUR CAMERA THERE ARE SEVERAL SCREWS, ABOUT 4 I THINK,
1) 1 ON BASE
2) 1 ON THE LEFT LOOKING AT FROM THE FRONT
3) AND 2 INSIDE THE FLASH CASE
REMOVE THESE SCREWS AND THEN YOUR FOCUS RING AND SOME OF THE CASE SHOULD COME OFF
INSIDE THE FOCUS RING YOU SHOULD SEE 3 SREWS IF NOT CHECK THE CAMERA TO SEE IF THEY HAVE FALLEN INSIDE,
IF NO JOY YOU CAN REPLACE THE 3 MISSING SCREWS AND PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER
