Hello,

Media players need the matching video format: for GoGear Vibe it is SMV.
To convert video from AVI to SigmaTel Motion Video, use the Media Converter Software from the manufacturer. For the videos you'd like to convert, be sure to update video codecs in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.

Vibe players have different display sizes, so you'll need the matching Converter for your player.
When you have the United States version SA5285/37 next site gives all support, including the Arcsoft video converter:

There's and update for the Arcsoft converter, for downloading directly YouTube films:
click on EXTRAS at the top right hand corner of the Arcsoft main screen.
At the pull down menu click UPDATE AND PATCHES, Arcsoft will check
and let user download and install the updated Stream Ripper feature
( streaming videos need flv video codec )

How to put videos on gogear vibe 8gb using philips songbird
In songbird bring up your video(s) you want to add. Select then drag and drop to the Vibe list. Songbird will place it in the correct format and place it in the correct spot on your Vibe. do not use suggested programs they are junk windows Media player does not support proper formatting. and soft29.com you will have a bunch of adware and and other bloat ware included. Stay with songbird for proper format and transfer.

Your device can play video file if its format is suitable. If you install the Philips songbird software you can convert your files with it and the player will play them after files transferred.

Most MP3 players can play avi movie files. If you download avi movie files to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player then it can play them without the need to convert movies to avi files.
