I had the same problem with an electric stapler from Craftsman after years of disuse. The solenoid that powers the hammer that is no retracting may require lubing if this is possible.

If not, then if the product is within warranty, you might be able to get a replacement.

Senco fram pro 602 nail gun firers but no nail just a hole from firing pin

First, check that you are using the proper nails. The FP602 needs Full Round Head nails with plastic collation. If you are using Clipped Head nails with the paper tape collation the angle of the nails not let the driver catch the next nail and drive it into your work.
If you have the correct nails, check the magazine to make sure the nails are feeding all the way up to the driver. If there is anything blocking the way or if the spring on the feeder isn't taught enough to pull the clip all the way up the driver won't be able to catch the next nail and drive it in.

My RN175 shoots you think it shot the nail, but when you move the gun to shoot the next nail the nail you just shot falls out the end of the gun. What could cause this?

The driver is coming down far enough to break the nail off the strip but not far enough to drive it in. This could be caused by any of the following:
- The driver is broken off and too short to drive the nail
- The driver is bent and doesn't travel all the way down
- The seal/o-ring on the piston is damaged and air is leaking past it
Any of the above will require you to remove the head and inspect the driver, piston and o-rings or have a service center check it out.

I'm trying to figure out why my PC FN250A won't fire nails. I don't see one jammed. What else can I try?

If the driver is not returning to top of cylinder, the nails will not feed into position. Remove nails from the gun and Insert thin tool into nose to verify that the driver is all the way up. If the driver is already at the top of the cylinder, then nails are not feeding correctly (check for debris in rails or for proper nails). If the driver was not all the way up, check for bent driver blade, loose or too tight piston ring or restriction in the headvalve (upper bumper cracked). Good luck

Model FN250a 16G finish nailer type 1, the tool driving mechanism does not return completely thus the next nail does not advance, thank you

clean the ram rod with a brake cleaner or compatible cleaner than spray with a lube or oil 2 problems cause the rod not to retract 1 is bent or damaged rod [requires replacement] not that common and 2 is the adhesive or glue used to hold the nails together gums up the rod and feeder shaft which is the more common problem

It will shoot first nail but won't feed the next nail

could be a few problems, the feed piston might be sluggish, the spring might be missing off the feed pawl, the collation of the nails or a bad coil of nails, the driver might not be retracting fully. Now for the way to check some of these. First look at the coil of nails and the adjustment on the magazine, the nails should pull freely off the coil. Next remove all the nails and using a block of wood "dry FIRE" the tool with the feed door open to check the movement of the feed piston, it should snap back and forth and if it doesn't that would probably be your problem, could be dirty/worn orings or debris in the air chamber. UNPLUG air hose and check for the finger spring that holds the feed pawl tight and check the pawls for wear and asphalt not allowing it to catch the nails. Lastly fire the tool and check the piston, did it retract fully allowing the next nail to advance? if not you would need to probably replace the o rings in this tool. Let me know if you need more assistance. And if I have helped you would you please vote accordingly, thanks

FC350 nailer problems

Assuming that there are no air leaks you could try a simple trick to solve your problem with not feeding nail. As you suspect, the driver is not returning to top position thus not allowing nail to move into position. All that you need is some teflon tape and some silicone paste both available at Lowes in the plumbing department. Remove the head of the gun being carefull not to tear gasket and pull out the driver and cylinder. There is a check valve that looks like black rubberband on outer part of cylinder covering small holes . Make sure band is in place and fits snuggly. This band is what caused piston to return. Check that the bumper at the bottom of the cylinder is whole and not cracked. Replace as needed. Clean orings to cylinder spacer, lube and reinstall. Remove the oring on the driver and wind teflon tape into oring grove and replace the oring. Apply only enough tape to make the driver fit snugly in the cylinder. Lube cylinder and oring with silicone paste. Reassemble driver and head. This should get pressure to driver up to normal. If it works your done. Later you could order an oring kit to reseal your gun (cost about $12) Good luck

It sounds like you are using the wring nails. check the recommended nails and the degree of the strips. there is a large variety of degree's available if it is a Bostitch usually 28* is what your looking for. next the gauge of nails need to match and then whether or not they are paper collated or wire. that will cause problems like that all day. hope this helps

Nailer piston won't retract far enough

the rubber cap just pulls off. maybe a screw driver to pry it first but it does just pop off.

As for oil, Always use what the manufacture recommends. But in the case you can figure that out, use a low viscos oil, maybe a standard 3-1 will do in most cases.

Also WD-40 works well.
