Possible that you have an error amplifier safe cut off of the power after analysis of the current status. You could probably have a power amplifier failure maybe in the output. It is important to have some good knowledge of the internal circuit before anything could be traced tot he safe errror cut off. Hope you find a good help/ panasonic service centre for a quote. Good day

Repeated F61 fault code on Panasonic Home cinema system Model: SC-HT990 Is it the fan in the sub woofer?

Hello

F 61 error means the failure of FAN
most probably dust in the fan made it to stop working so clean the dust and connect the fan to an external supply of 12v(using red and black wire) for 5 minutes and reconnect it to the unit otherwise replace the fan with new one.
Surely this will solve the problem.

Kind regards
Andrea

Panasonic SC-HT995 locked

check the fan, if its dusty clean it then run the player. If it works, your in luck. If the fans are moving and f61 still shows up, the D-amp IC is shortened ( inside you will see IC 5000/IC5200 / IC 5300, these needs to be replaced) its the one by the big cooling fins (behind the rear fan)

The battery might have broken so you might want to try buying a new one or charge it up fully.

The F61 is the shorthand for protect mode. This indicates a problem with the output amplifier section. I don't have a listing for your specific model, but a similar one HT95 lists IC501 as the output amp chip. Check for the marking on the large black IC attached to the heatsink it may be RSN311W. If so, this can be ordered using part number: RSN311W64D-P for $95.20 from tritronicsinc.com.

Hope this helps,
Dan
