How do I make the keypad retract into the housing? It lays flat and goes up, but it wont return into its slot.

Simply using the [OPEN/CLOSE] button at the top of the display will cause the LCD monitor to retract.

I have a Myron & Davis AD256T dvd player and the problem I have is, Cant see video games from the rca the video game get froze on the tv screen from the begining and dont let me play

It could be a game console connection problem, make sure that your Yello RCA output is going in your Video input on the monitor or monitor receiver. You might have a power or voltage problem, if the wrong current or voltage is incorrect then errors and freeze ups can happen, the player wont support the wrong voltage going in. Check your power connections, Video out/input connections and check your voltages.

Good luck.

It probably has a bad flexible cable. It needs to be sent to pioneer to be repaired.

Power comes on but nothing works even monitor

It's probably your ribbon cable is broken. Pioneer replace it for free the 1st time. Contact them to send it in for service. It is a common issue for the Avic N series. If it is out of warranty then the guy on Ebay will fix it for you for around $100. Try SAME DAY AUDIO SERVICE, his name is Rick and he is very reliable. Goodluck.

Monitor wont tilt

since you have already tried the screen tilt settings, the problem may be in the gears for the mech. There is no easy fix without being able to check it out in person. It can be a very big job. Unless you are familiar with disassembling these type of units I would advise against trying to fix it yourself.
I have repaired a few of these and they always takes over an hour. And that is knowing exactly what I am doing.

It has a couple of gears and a motor that move the display in and out. To get to that mech the unit has to be taken completely apart. It is on the bottom of the unit under the main board.

It could have a broken gear, debris stuck in one of the gears teeth, or just an alignment problem or something bent out of place. In any case, it takes some experience to figure it out.

wish I could have told you an easy way to fix it, but I don't know of any quick, easy fixes for it.

Best bet is to take it to an authorized Kenwood repair center to have them look at it. You should be able to at least get an estimate pretty cheap.

Monitor wont come out

I have the exact same problem on mine. If yours is like mine, It clicks a little when it tries to open and close. If that is the case, The gears that open the dvd player might be stripped or just need to be adjusted.
