Problem, just stopped to work. Pushed the button to do a load of dishes and nothing happened. Nothing came on, no panel display lights---nothing. Checked the circut breaker, not tripped. Read a little on this so checked the power to the unit, was good. I took the fuse downtown and the guy said it was ok. Help, what next? Thank you. Mike.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa This can be reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your kenmore press these buttons in sequence: High temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry You can clean the drain pump assembly if the problem returns. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
There is a thermal fuse on the controller that commonly goes out. If you take apart the panel, and see the computer part, there is usually a part clipped on the side with 2 wires on it. When that goes out, it acts like there is no power to the unit. Very easy and in-exspensive to replace if that's it. It's pretty common on those. Good luck
Hello I am V- Mari and i own a Kenmore dishwasher model Number 587.1574590 and it doesn't work at all. The power light comes on and it seems to make noise, but it does nothing. Is there a recall for these models or free fix help please respond to email@example.com. I would like to solve my dishwasher problems as soon as possible. Thank you!
is it on steady??? or blinking??? if on steady try pressing nad holding the button with the "lock" symbol on/or above it, thinknits the heat button, for 3 secs it will "unlock" the controls, if blinkin then its a diff issue, may be a bad door switch not recognizing hte door being closed therefore wont start,
press back and forth between hi-tempwash and sani rinse several times to get all lights to come on if not then press sani rinse and heated dry back and forth several times. one of though combos will start the test mode. the test mode will stop the light from blinking and you can use the dishwasher again
brittgee, there has been a number of service flashes on this model. One that has to do with the upper spray arm assy. Complaint is poor washability; gritty glasses, food redeposited on glasses, especially in the corners. They redesigned the upper spray arm to improve water spray to all corners of the upper rack. The new part number is 8269022. They also redesigned the third level spinner for more consistant rotation and better washability. This was also under a service flash. Part number.8193768. Other reasons for poor wash would be; low water temperature, rinse aid disp. not working, loading etc. Catriver...post back.
