When its green, its on, when its red its completely off, but when its amber, it means you have WiiConnect24 On and its in strandby mode. With this on you can recieve messages when the Wii is off.

That light means your wii is off, but the wiiconnect24 is on. if you turn wiiconnect24 off it turns to red. i have had the same problem before.

If you have the Wii set for 24hr connect it will show the amber light. If you shut this feature off in the setting then your light will go to red (off).

What happens if the power button to the Wii turns orange for a while and sometimes, when it does that, the disc inputter flashes blue? It only goes back to normal when I unplug it for a while then plug it...

The blue light means you got a message from another user or nintendo has an update for you. The orange power light means your wii is on standby and the red light means your wii is completely powered off.

I have linked my wii earlier today with my router, but when i turn it off now the light is'nt red anymore it's like an amber colour, why?

Hi there, it just means that your Wii is connected to WiiConnected24 so Nintendo can send your Wii updates when required, see here for details. Cheers

Wii console not working correctly

When you connect to the internet wirelessly and Wii Connect24 your Wii will stay connected and recieve messages, updates, etc. That is why the disk area stays blue and the amber light stays on. Sometimes this will create a power failure. Just unplug your Wii from the wall and let it rest for a few minutes and plug it back in. The problem should be solved.

The red light is on constantly on my wii machine, where it should be umber, I have tested my a/c lead on anther wii and it work, now I know it is the wii console which has the fault. what can i do. thank...

It's nothing you should be worried about. The Wii that has the red light instead of the amber light simply doesn't have WiiConnect24 on. When you activate WiiConnect24, the light should change to amber.

Blue light stays on when console is off

This is common for the Wii. This means that the Wii is connecting to the Internet, and receiving news, weather, and other updates to keep you updated. THIS IS NORMAL!!!!! It usually stays on and sometimes turns on and off multiple times, in a milli second. Sort of like when its flashing. NORMAL TOO PEOPLE!!

Wii Problem, the remote

make sure a combination of the 4 blue lights at the bottom of the remote are on (but not flashing, mind you). if they're not, this means that your wii remote isn't connected to your nintendo wii system yet. if when you press a button and none of the lights turn on at all, this means that there are no batteries in your wii remote. if it flashes, this means its trying to connect to your wii system. you might have to troubleshoot this a little bit. try to aim it at the bar that recognizes the wii signal (a separate piece that comes with the wii system).
hope this helps ;-)

Plays only one game without problem.

Red means taht your wii is completely shut down

Amber means that it is basically in sleep mode, however if you have it connected to the internet wirelessly it will still get updates while in this mode.

By holding down the power button for 5+ seconds it will go red

Just tapping the power button will make it go Amber (sleep mode).

Wii consoles not working

Hold in the power button on the Wii console for about six seconds until it powers off. The light on the power button should turn red after you do this, not amber. Press the power button again to boot the Wii.

9 out of 10 times this fixes all weird issues. If you simple power it down to the amber light, it's not actually off, so you really aren't getting a "cold" reboot.

Good luck.
