How can I connect A BBE482i Sonic max. to this mixer amp and how to hook it up, will it help my sound system I have two Pr15 mains and two PV12 monitors

Go from the main out on the front panel to the left bbe input then from the left bbe output to the power amp 1 input. Then do the same from the monitor out to the right side and back to power amp 2. BBE units can enhance your sound, but too much will tend to sound brittle.

How to wire up outboard effects, poweramps to mixer. Out to sub, mains, monitors each with own poweramp, and several outboard effects, eq's, comp/lim/gate, sonic maximizer, quadraverb, crossover.

I'd need to know what mixer you have, to know if there is a [line out] connection socket and an [internal amp in] connection socket.

"each with own poweramp" I presume means the ep1500's and NOT that the speakers are active (ie containing amps)

***If any of your speakers are active, ask the question again, with more detail.***

So if all your speakers are passive, I offer the following.

I assume there is [effect send] and [effect return] on the mixer

effect send>quadraverb>effect return

mixer line out > eq > compressor > sonic maximizer > crossover

sub output of crossover> amp > sub
high output of crossover to mixer's internal amp input
mixer's speaker output > main speakers

monitor output > other side of eq (>other side of compressor if desired, but use sparingly ) > other side of sonic max if it is true stereo , otherwise skip > amp > monitors

If your mixer doesn't have an input to its internal amp, we are "back to the drawing board"
With questions like this it pays to give as much detail as possible; model and make of each component etc
I have done my best with the the info you have provided.

What do you hook up first, mixer or power amp oreffects in a rack system?

Effects plug into mixer, mixer plugs into power amp. Others may want the mixer and the effects plugged into the power amp for the most available inputs. (when multiple inputs are available.)

Effects and mixer are a line level output and the mixer can be considered a line level input as well. A mic mixer has gain amplifiers for the inputs that are below line level such as unamplied microphones. It is possible to parse to absurdity, but the gist of it is above assuming you do not want to apply the same effects to everything all at once.

I have recently purchased a Eurolite 6U 19 Rack Mount Amp Case for my Marshall AS-50D combo amp but I need instuctions on how to pack the amp into the case.

When putting amps or ANY heat generating devices into a cabinet, make sure there is FREE airflow around and especially around heat sink fins. Sometimes it is necessary to leave a gap between amps that are stacked in the cabinets.

Have BBE Acousimax pre-amp. Clip light is on and will not turn off. I have not power through the unit but power source seems ok. Fuse problem?

This device, unlike most guitar pedals, requires a 12 volt power supply. Are you sure yours is the original? If the supply is low, the internal electronics will show clipping. Make sure you are using the original power supply and if so, check the voltage it is producing.

Where on a 16:2 allen heath wizard would you hook up a 482i sonic maximizer?

The answer all depends on what you want to achieve.
  • If you just want to enhance the sound of 1 or 2 instruments / voices you could take a signal out from an individual channel on your mixer using the direct out and insert jack sockets on that channel however this may make it difficult to control in conjunction with teh E.Q. controls on that channel as the Sonic Enhancer would be pre-fade and pre E.Q.
  • Alternatively you could send several mixer channels of your choice through the Sonic by using one of the sub-mix outputs to give a feed to the Sonic, returning it to the main mix either via a couple of spare channels, or the paired stereo inputs that are only routed to the main outputs.
  • Thirdly you could use one of the auxiliary sends to allocate different levels of signal from any number of channels to the Sonic. These are normally used to supply a separate mix to on-stage fold-back systems, monitors etc. Here I would use one of the 2 post fade ones rather than the pre-fade - to avoid negating what you have set on the main mixer e-q (tone controls)/. One advantage of this option is that it allows you to only enhance part of the signal from a particular channel and to allow part to bypass the Sonic without enhancement. I think that this would be my preferred option unless all the auxiliary feeds are needed for other purposes.
  • Lastly you could just put the Sonic on the main outputs of the mixer. This would mean that the same level of enhancement would be applied to the whole mix. As the Sonic Enhancer only has unbalanced (mono) jack sockets this later option does reduce the likelihood of you introducing unwanted radio interference to the system, compared to putting it at an earlier stage in the mix because, as the Sonic is unbalanced, everything else after it in the mix chain will also be unbalanced.

How do you install the rear rack ears

I don't know about the Peavey amp but most have rack holes that run parallel with the amp's side panels. On the rear of the rack this requires a mounting kit unique to your rack (provided there are mounting rails present) or some creative strapping to properly stabilize the amp. I've seen tech's anchor the rear mounts to the inside of the rack walls. Wood is easiest (and strongest) to work with but fiberglass mounts with fender washers also creates a pretty strong mount....G.

Setting up a Behringer PMP5000

You can do the effect via the "POWER AMP INSERT" jacks.

Use TRS interconnects to yout effects unit.

If the effects unit does not have TRS type bi-directional in/out ports, you MAY need to make special cables to connect the units. Refer to figure 4.5 on page 9 of your PMP5000 user manual for INSERT connections.
