Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
Hi. I have a Toshiba 42VJ22P problem. The top half shows picture but the bottom half of the screen has gone black with with a bright line in the centre seperating the two halves. I have sound but for some reason the tv does not respond to the remote control anymore although the remote control still sends a signal as ive tested it. Any advice would be helpful. Thanx in advance

This not the correct Model #, this model is a DLP set and does not have picture tubes and associated lenses. Did you remove the mirror? Does your set have a fold in back? I suspect the back is not fully out in the correct viewing position.

The LCD inside the projection unit is broken - nothing you can do about it - it needs replacing.
They are built in two halves to give you higher resolution and quick image response. One is working, the other is broken. You will need to get it serviced.
