A program started to install as I started on my PC (not online, yet) I canceled and a box came up with Microsoft.NET Framework saying "an unhandaled exception has occurred...click continue & application will ignore error & attempt to continue." I did this said but the two boxes are stuck, I cannot uninstall anything or install and i am unable to log off or even turn off PC unless done manually. I tried System Restore but it shut down some of my folders I need to access. HELP !! I HATE unneeded, overloaded Microsoft Windows programs!!!!

Tip

Microsoft Framework Error's

Hello , Welcome to Fixya.com

I decided to start a new tip because of the confusion over Microsoft Framework.

Say your system just got blown away and you reinstalled your operating system, Weather its 32/64bit Windows 7, Windows Xp, Windows Vista.

Here is a quick way to reinstall Microsoft Framework without having to Run windows update or search around the innterweb.

1. Open up your web browser
2. Click on this LINK
3. Click the Download button on your right hand side
4. Choose Run on the dialog box.

The program will download and install the correct Framwork without any hassles. This will also help you reinstall programs that need a updated version of Framework without errors.

Thanks for using Fixya.com

Trying to install Quarkxpress 7.0 error message says Unable to install Installshield scripting Error 1607

CAUSE loadTOCNode(1, 'cause'); This issue may occur if one of the following conditions is true: • The user account that you use to install the program does not have administrative rights. • You have programs running in the background that are interfering with the setup. • .NET Framework is not installed on the computer. • The Windows Installer program that helps you set up the game is not installed correctly. Heres what I would do, Firstly download and Install the lates .NET distributable from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

Then download and install the Latest windows installer package from here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=889482FC-5F56-4A38-B838-DE776FD4138C&displaylang=en

If after you install both of these and REBOOT you still get the error then let me know and we can go more indepth

Download and use the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility to uninstall .Net Framework and any Hot fixes for it.

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...BD/msicuu2.exe

Then try re-installing .Net Framework.. You need at least 1.1:

and you may also want to install 2.0:

Many applications are created using Microsoft NET Framework and therefore it needs to be installed on your system in order for them to run properly.

You can get it from Microsoft HERE

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

You cannot install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 because the NET Framework 2 is already installed. The NET Framework 2 is the latest version of Microsoft NET Framework. I think you can remove the latest Framework in the Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel. Then restart your computer and install the old version. But my advice is, just let the latest NET Framework remain and don't uninstall it.

When i try to use hallmark studio, i get the phrase application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135)

Please run windows update. It's important that you install Microsoft .Net framework & other security fixes.
When updating .Net framework there are many, please stay in order (smallest to largest). .Net framework 1.0.
.Net framework 1.1 & so on. When your PC has completed all updates try your program; hallmark studio again. If it still fails, reinstall the program & do not run other programs during install.

If you have more questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck & Kind Regards.

You might need some additional program. Click the link above(or copy & paste). Might need .NET Framework 1.1 or it might just be some bugs in Vista that is not compatible with the program your trying to install. Vista still has some problems.
