Battery won t hold charge

If your battery does not hold charge, and you don't want to buy a replacement, then there is not much can do other than to keep using your laptop with the charger. All batteries have a time life span.

Battery slide wont open

Does it have a locking mechanism? The Latch/spring may be broken or jammed, push the latch over and hold use a tool, old credit card, to wedge at the crack where the battery meets the laptop, gently pry it open, while holding the latch open. OR remove the laptop's bottom cover. If you supply the Model of the Compag , I may can assist you further.

My compaq series PP2076 netbook battery won't stay

It can be due to a fault in the retaining lock on the battery , if the contacts of the battery has come out or if the battery connectors on the main mother board is weak, loose or drysoldered.
So check on the battery fitment, if this does not stay in place use a cardboard to WEDGE and tigthen it AGAINST the terminals -- to give the tight contact.
if this wont improve then check on the mother board and solder.

I have an emachine E627 laptop, Recently ******** keeps appearing randomly in text boxes over and over and when you boot up a high pitched alarm sounds continuosly. I have cleaned the keyboard and there...

Definitely sounds like a faulty keyboard. If a key is stuck, you will hear a loud continuous bebebebebebebebebebeep sound on boot up. You can try carefully prying the "*" key off and checking to make sure there isn't anything wedged between the key itself and the little plastic bubble. If you still can't get it to stop, you will have to replace the entire keyboard. A quick search on google reveals that you can pick one up for under $50, and laptop keyboards are generally relatively easy to replace (often it can be done with only a flat bladed screwdriver).

Acer travelmate 342t CMOS Battery bad, How do I

it is inside,on the motherboard,it is a watch type battery or a vinyl coated battery pack that plugs in the board,if it is the watch battery type,be carefull removing it.the holder can break off the motherboard very easy, might be able to get to it by removing the plastic piece above the keyboard that surrounds the power button, otherwise dissassembly will be necessary

On my Fujitsu Siemens laptop the battery symbol is flashing orange, does anyone know what this means?

This means you're running out of battery. So you need to switch on to its adapter and plug it to the power source to let it charge.

My batter is wedged

The best way to get at this is by taking the plastics apart. You want to get to a point that you can see the back of the battery so you can push it out instead of prying it. Start by removing the keyboard, then the top plastic that hold the touch pad and surrounds the keyboard. At this point you should be able to see the back side of the battery pretty well, make sure nothing has fallen into the battery bay that has made the battery kick off to one side. You should be able o work it out from there.

Keyboard removal

even after you have removed the screws the keyboard is still wedged on to the display panel just above it you have to actually unclip the display panel first and then only you would be able to remove the keyboard, gently because the keyboard would still be attack via cable to the mainboard.
