This mobile model doesn't support Bluetooth, so you can connect it with Bluetooth speakers. Bluetooth speakers are so much comfortable, compatible, portable and provide great sound quality. The brands such as Bose, iBall, Antec and Supertooth etc. popular and creates nice quality Bluetooth speakers.

The NS-DV2G and NS-DV4G are not the Bluetooth models, so Bluetooth speakers will not help you here.

Decent self-powered PC speakers should work well as a speaker solution for this unit unless you were looking for portability. Basically you're looking for speakers that have a headphone level input...not a line level input. you'll need speakers with a built in amplification circuit.

As for recomendations...that's really a subjective question and up to the users preferences for listening.

Why do I hear music coming from my MP4 player when I have the earphones plugged in?

There is a switch inside the player headset female jack that is deactivated by headset the male jack when it is plugged in. The switch deactivates the outside speakers. In your case, the switch is not deactivated so you hear sound from both. Three things may cause the problem that you need to check.
    1. You are using a not compatible headset. Make sure headset used is compatible with the player.
    2. The headset is not properly inserted. Insert the headset firmly and make sure it sits firmly in.
    3. The switch inside the unit is defective. It may be stuck or broken. Disassemble the unit to check the switch. Insert the headset and make a visual check if it hits the said switch and deactivates it. You may need the help of a person with know-how in electronics.

We just bought a Phillips speaker for our Ipod. How do you attach the docking insert to the speaker dock? It does not automatically fit in that hole although I can see in the picture it is flush with the...

All of the Philips iPod accessories were made only for specific iPods - double-check your spec sheet (or the box) to find out which iPod's it is compatible with. Understand that the date of manufacture of the Philips speakers makes a huge difference - if the speakers are 2006 speakers, then Philips did not know about the difference between iPod Nano 2nd gen and 3rd gen, because that issue just didn't exist when the speakers were made. The rule of thumb is: if the Philips was made in 2006, and the iPod was made in 2007 or 2008, then those speakers are not going to work with your iPod.

You might want to double-check with them, however, because there was one model of speakers that was supposed to come with adapters for the various IPods, and every once in a while a speaker set come without those adapters in the box - check the accessories section of the specs to see if it was supposed to come with adapters - they are available from Philips.

Also, the Target/Wal-Mart/etc employees don't have a clue about compatibility issues - they just aren't trained in those details.

I have the logitech mm50 portable speakers; the on/off button is flashing red and the 3D-sound button is flashing amber; the battery is fully charged; it's been like thise for days; i've tried holidng all,...

Here's what is going on - the mm50 speakers were made in 2005, before iPod decided to release third generation, fourth generation, and fifth generation players. The product specs for the mm50 might have said it was compatible with an "iPod classic" or an iPod "Nano" - but they were referring to an earlier generation of player. These Logitech speakers/dock just isn't compatible with 2006-2008 iPods.

Reset the ipod and run the Recovery Tool like the user manual suggests - the full manual is available at Apple's website.

If it is still possible, return the Logitech speakers.
