If the screen is stuck and won't move, then it's a program issue. The only thing that you could try is to disconnect the battery (if the player is OUT of WARRANTY). You might need to de-solder the battery and re-solder it.
However, if the player is under the warranty period, there's nothing that could do but to send the player to the manufacturer. They need to re-program the player, re-load the software and firmware if necessary.
