How to change cartridge

Some machines recognize you changed the ink cartridge and some do not. If you shut it down and restart it, this usually helps it reset.

Did you have the no cartridge prompt on before you changed the cartridge? If no, then did you remove all packing material. Is this the first time you have changed the cartridge?

The Fax-2480c does not use toner cartridges.
This is an inkjet and so uses ink cartridges.

There are 4 cartridges, black, yellow, cyan (blue) and magenta (red). If any of these cartridges are empty, you need replace them.

This machine takes LC-51 cartridges.
You're probably out of warranty so jsut get refills... it's cheaper

No, you need to replace all ink carts with Genuine HP carts to get a sucessful alignment.

All i needed to do, after messing with it non stop, was turn it off and reboot the machine. Simple solution! Thank god!

You need to connect it to your computer and go to the properties.  Select install new cartridge.

When you hear the fax ringing, press the start button. It sounds like you are not set to AUTO RECEIVE

try cleaning the grid on the drum unit otherwise there could be some thing on the fuser preasure roller.

There are lots of NEW dried up ink cartridges out there.
