I have a Gibson gas furnace model gl1ra072c12a, the middle two burners flame are blue both end burners are yellow . All were cleaned. as well as jets what could be the problem?

If the flames are yellow AND lazy, not acting like the two blue flames are, the problem sounds like excess carbon build up within the heat exchanger ABOVE the two yellow burning burners. If that is the case, the yellow burning flames are contributing additionally to the carbon already in there. Eventually, the lazy flames will roll out into the furnace vistibule and possibly burn wiring creating a major problem. There are looooong wire handled bristle brushes 30" long that must be used to thoroughly clean the heat exchanger after the burners have been removed. A shop vac will help greatly in reducing the nasty carbon mess.

Usually, the vent collector hood and flue is removed to brush down from the top and up from the bottom alternately. If there are air shutters on the burners, make sure they haven't been throttled too far down limiting the combustion air causing the original problem.

You need a certified HVAC service tech to look at this issue.

I see to have too much gas pressure after converting my Neptune dryer from natural gas to LP

you should not try to adjust the flame. LP burns more yellow that NG. The gas pressure automatically regulates the airflow based on the dynamic pressure that goes through the burner chamber. If your flame is roaring and pushing forward, everything is Okay, if it is a "Lazy" and falling flame, you have a blockage of the airflow - venting system

Middle burner on five burner vangaurd flames up and over the burner with a blue flame. both burners on either side burn perfectly.

Mine did that. I solved the problem by cleaning the burner block with compressed air (non flamable) by blowing said air back through burner block(s) and be sure all dust is removed. The same can be said of the igniter. The trick here is to clean these types of units each year, at least! I nclean mine at the begining and end of each heating season.
I hope this helps, Sincerely, lpsparks@windstream.net

The flames from the front left burner is 1/3 orange and 2/3 blue; whereas the flames from the other burners are all blue. There is a strong odour from the front left burner when we turn it on and also the...

The flames should be all blue - except when you first turn it on, where the flame begins, & only when you turn it on. Orange flames mean incomplete combustion is happening. Carbon monoxide is being released. Orange flames can also mean your getting low on gas. Clean it & try moving the disk around. An uneven disc means some flames will be higher & burn your pots. The flames are wrapping around your pots if they're burning on the sides. Keep flames under the pot. Regardless of the being clean, the odor means you need to check your gas level. Once filled back, the odor should be gone if that's the only problem. That is placed in the gas as a safety feature. Don't try to fix this problem yourself if the "easy" solutions don't work. It could be very dangerous. Invest in a carbon monoxide detector especially when you have anything gas.

Unit fires on call for heat but burners go from strong blue flame to lazy orange and back again....seems like diaphram in gas valve is sticking, any second thoughts??

It sounds like the burners and the air intake valve for the burners need to be cleaned. This type of blockage will cause the lazy flame look. As the Gas to Air ratio is OFF.

My patio mushroom heater lights up ok but keeps going out by itself after about 5 to 10 minutes and then can be started again inatantainiously by starting pilot light and away you go until it goes out...

Hello,
Here's a few things to check. When you light the pilot, is it a strong blue pilot flame, a weak blue flame or a lazy yellow flame? Is it heating the thermocouple enough to make it red hot after a few minutes? If the pilot is small blue or lazy yellow flame, it may be dirty and need cleaned. When the burner lights, the weak pilot flame may diminish causing the thermocouple to cool off enough to shut down the main burner. Clean the dirty pilot orifice by using a can of compressed air with attached straw. (The same canned air you use to clean computer keyboards) Blow it into the pilot assembly where the pilot flame burns out from and blow thru the air holes on the side, if applicable. You might also check the thermocouple itself to make sure the tip is not partially burn't off. It should be a smooth, rounded tip. Replace the thermocouple if cleaning the pilot orifice doesn't solve the problem. Douglas

Fire inside burner

Hi looked on the wedsite it sounds like the air mixture is wrong casuing it to light back on to the injector (ORFICE) A slong as the orfice is clean and the burner is not blocked then the screw on the burner should adjust the air flow , turn it out as far as it will go with the burner on adjustthe srcew keep tuning slowly in , if it lights back it might make you jump but it won't do any harm , its just getting the mixture right, try this and see if it works ,

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.
